Nice place to sleep over

This was a stop and sleep stay on our way to OBX. Served it's purpose well. Beautiful view of the Albemarle Sound. Inside of the lodging was great. Outside would be better with water access. Bed very hard, but is always a subjective thing, right?

The Pelican is Ok

The Pelican was reasonably clean, the location on the Sound is pleasant, and the host was responsive.There are 4 or 5 cottages on the property, there is almost no outdoor lighting, and it is really dark if you arrive at night like I did all 3 nights. The host mentioned this in her pre check in instructions, so she is aware of the problem.These cottages are in desperate need of outdoor lighting in the parking area, and Pelican definitely needs a new motion sensing light on the entrance. Walkway lights from the parking area to the cottages would also be a dramatic improvement.

Serene

Purpose of our overnight was for rest & refreshment. We wanted something quiet and away from people, this place was exactly that. Very clean and organized. Very little dish & hand soap, but everything else was well thought out and provided for. Appreciated the Keurig cups, we enjoyed several cups of coffee. The sunrise view was amazing.

Peace and tranquillity

I had a wonderful stay. I was looking to get away and come to terms with the loss of a loved one. This was the perfect spot for reflection and closure. I enjoyed spectacular sunrises and sunsets. The neighbor was very helpful and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
