Enjoy the expansive fireplace which is the focal point of the living room. The extra large deck allows for playing many yard games while food is prepared on the large charcoal grill. Enjoy relaxing mornings with coffee in the hot tub, or a glass of wine at night, gazing at the beautiful stars that only shine this bright away from the lights of the city. I contacted the host for the first night of our stay letting her know that the cabin was not well cleaned. She immediately defended her cleaning company and said that she had been there days before and the cabin was in impeccable condition. She asked for me to send her pictures of the uncleanliness of the areas. I immediately sent 10 pictures clearly showing cobwebs, hair left behind in the bathroom by past renters, light fixtures with caked on dust and tv remotes with corroded batteries. She never responded to me after I sent the photos. While the cabin was fine for our 3 night stay, I would not choose to stay here in the future. The cabin, in general, needs some major TLC and upkeep.
Multiple light fixtures without working bulbs.
Layer of dirt/dust on chain.
Cobwebs on the entry door.
Corroded batteries in tv remote- did not work and no replacement batteries provided.

This cabin was just as listed. Clean, cozy and nice location. Pet accommodating with feeding bowls and tie outs. Hot tub was lovely as was the deck. The host responded quickly to a few questions. Would recommend this cabin.

Everything was great here! Perfect cabin for our two kids and our dog. Great location as well, with it being close to Nashville, Columbus and Brown County State Park. Owner was very quick and responsive when i had a question. Checking in and it was easy. Cabin had comfy beds, was overall very clean along with the hot tub being nice. Would definitely recommend!

We wanted to like this cabin. It's cute and somewhat remote, which is what we were looking for. Our timeslot took place over Halloween. The cabin was pre-decorated. Cob webs complete with live spiders. Kitchen is nice-skillets and utensils had food particles and needed scrubbed before we could prepare food. The heat (mini split) worked on the first night only. Looked up instructions on the web (no instructions inside) but could not unlock the secret. Baseboard heat will get you by, barely. Bring flashlights. Below the deck there are no lights if you need to walk your dog. The deck needed the mold removed from the seating area. Rockers were no good either. The wooden slats were rotten and missing one. We enjoyed our time in the area as Fall was in full bloom. Lots of potential here with a decent amount of work.

At first glance, the VRBO was very cute and in a great location. Upon our arrival, the steep gravel driveway was incredibly washed out and hard to get up (with all wheel drive vehicles). The walkway into the cabin was also not well maintained and the “steps” were degrading and broken. We had to wash every dish we used because they hadn’t been checked that previous guests thoroughly washed them. They were greasy and still had bits of food in them. Several of the cabinet pulls were broken/ missing or easily came off. The most disappointing part was the hot tub didn’t work the entire duration of our stay, which was a large reason why we picked the particular cabin. Generally, it’s in a great location and has a lot of potential but I fear having pride in the cabin is lacking and it was very underwhelming.

The property is beautiful and secluded. The house was cozy charming and very comfortable. We did have a good time and love that it was pet friendly. This wonderful and magical place is in need of some very overdue TLC. The hot tub did not work, and appeared to have been in need of repair for some time. Very disappointing. We called about it day one, but no one came to look at it, or follow up with us. The long gravel walk from parking to house is dangerous. There are numerous metal rods sticking up where the wood steps have worn down or broken off completely. Major tripping hazard. The step up to deck is detached and wobbly. There are numerous loose boards on the deck we almost tripped on. Broken deck rocking chairs. Torn patio chair cushions. We cooked in all 4 days, and had to wash majority of dishes, pans before we used them. We learned how dirty the oven was after cooking something, and black smoke poured out. We had to clean the outdoor grill before using. The front door mud room was dirty and full of cobwebs.

Fantastic Stay

Very nice and clean, comfortable beds. Good kitchen supplies, selection if games, and VHS movies. The 4 person hot tub was very nice. The open loft above the livingroom had been converted to the "master bedroom". There was a door between that and the two bedrooms at the top of the stairs. After said door you entered the first cozy bedroom and walked through it to the second bedroom (no door between) which had the bunkbed queen below a twin. Under this second bedroom you could look through the floorboard gaps to the toilet in the bathroom below. This wasn't an issue as we didn't use this room. All three bedrooms are on the second floor and the bathroom is at the far end of the house on the main floor through the laundry room. It is a very interesting layout. Beyond these quarks the home is lovely, cozy, and inviting. Plenty of towels, linens, extra blankets, and thoughful touches. The firewood was stacked nicely outside but was not covered so it was soaking wet. I'm glad we brought some. It could use a tarp or some other cover. The living room T.V. did not have a DVD player (there went snuggling on the couch as a family to watch a movie). Two of the three upstairs TVs in the bedrooms had VHS/DVD combos. Neither in the master bedroom. The only connections were old AV cables. The gravel driveway was steep. Initially our Camery sunk in halfway up, but with a running start we made it.

Fantastic getaway in Brown County

We had a great time at this cabin—this was the first time we took our two dogs on vacation, and it worked out so well! Everyone enjoyed the cabin and the various amenities, and we also enjoyed time in Nashville and at the state park. I would definitely plan another trip to stay here in the future!

I would clarifiy that there really isn't much privacy.. only 1 if the bedrooms had a door but it wasn't private either bc the kids room connect through that room. 1 room is the open loft. Definitley a lived in feel for this home... the big thing i didn't like was it was 630 in November when we arrived so pitch dark out and the cabin was NOT VISABLE from the driveway.. then once we figured out the shed (that looked like a scary movie scene) ... no joke it was not clear it was part of the property we were staying at and there were NO LIGHTS OUTDOORS!!!
