The hotel is a beautiful old historic building with a pretty grand lobby. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The Italian restaurant and bar was good. Wait staff were very nice. My room was pretty small, but in an older historic building I can’t complain. The bed is very comfortable, the shower was nice.

Check in is at 4pm! We didn’t get our room keys till 5:45pm! Hotel smells in the hallways. A/c units in the rooms are very old and LOUD. Hotel needs a major update for the rates they offer. They provided a courtesy breakfast after I complained about the delay in rooms. But it wasn’t being offered for the inconvenience.

Knowing it was a historic hotel we didn't expect perfection on appearance. We also knew the room would be small-neither of those were an issue.Staff was friendly and helpful. But a lumpy mattress, HVAC immediately outside our window running all night, no washclothes in bathroom, no answer at front desk, out of conditioner in the shower.. all things that should be available 24/7 made our 20th anniversary miserable
