Merion Village is a diverse historic neighborhood located just south of German Village along High Street and Parsons Avenue. First settled by Nathaniel Merion in 1809, the area was built into the industrial hotbed of a growing industrial city.

Many of the residents of Merion Village have roots that go back three and four generations, and the neighborhood contains houses built mostly around the turn of the century.

The easiest way to get around to other parts of Columbus is via your car, Uber, or Lyft. If the weather is nice try a Lime scooter! They`re super fun!

Merion and German Village are very walkable neighborhoods. If you`re not going far and the weather is nice, we absolutely recommend walking the neighborhood and checking out all the amazing historical homes.

Please note, the two bedrooms and the only bathroom are on the second floor.

This home is old —like most homes in Merion Village! The stairs up to the second floor are steeper than more modern stairs, the floors and doors creek —we call this charm!

RULES
-We reserve the right to deny any bookings made by locals from Columbus, OH. If you are a local resident to the Columbus, OH area and wish to book this property you must share the reason for your stay.
-Parties and events are not allowed
-Dog friendly on a case by case basis, $35/night/pet w/$200 monthly cap
-Parking is street parking only (it`s plentiful!). There is no off-street parking at this property.
**If staying for longer than 13 days, we require bi-weekly cleanings at $50 per clean**

We receive notifications from exterior cameras 24/7. We have a zero tolerance policy regarding unauthorized parties, illegal behavior, and allowing unregistered guests onto our property. The cameras are on both the front and back porches. They record the front and back porches, sidewalks, front and back yards. We have access to recorded footage at all times.

*4% credit card fees will not be refunded for guest cancellations or modifications.

SUMMARY

• No parties. Only registered guests allowed unless approved in advance. Parties may result in a $1,000 fee and immediate cancellation without refund.
• No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property, inside or outside. Any evidence of smoking may result in a $1,000 fee and immediate cancellation without refund.
• Pets must be pre-approved. $35/night (up to $200) or $200 flat for 30+ nights. Unapproved pets = $1,000 fine and cancellation without refund.
• Treat the property with care. No tampering with smoke detectors or cameras.
• Any violation of these rules may result in immediate removal without refund, plus applicable fines.

GUEST CONDUCT AND NOISE
• Please treat the property as you would your own home.
• Quiet hours are 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Keep noise to a minimum indoors and outdoors.
• In multi-family buildings, keep sound levels low at all hours.
• No parties, events, or open invitations. Only registered guests are allowed unless pre-approved.
• The total number of people (including visitors) may not exceed the occupancy listed. Unapproved guests or over-occupancy may result in a $1,000 fine and cancellation.

NON-SMOKING POLICY
• No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed on the property, inside or outside.
• Applies to cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, vapes, etc.
• Evidence of smoking (odor, ash, residue) will result in a $1,000 fine and immediate cancellation.
• Additional cleaning or repairs may be billed. These are not covered by the $1,000 smoking violation fine.
• Smoke detectors may be monitored remotely. Do not tamper with any safety device.

CLEANING AND CARE
• Please clean up after yourself. Wash dishes, wipe surfaces, take out trash.
• No candles, incense, or strong-smelling substances.
• Treat stains immediately with remover before laundering.
• For stays of 30+ nights, mid-stay professional cleanings are required every 30–45 days and will be billed separately.
• Excessive mess or damage may result in additional cleaning fees.

LONG-TERM STAYS
• 30+ night reservations require a signed lease agreement before check-in.
• Guests must agree to all lease terms sent in advance.
• If the property is in an HOA, guests must also sign and follow the HOA handbook.
• Lease terms may include limits on guest turnover and early termination rules.
• Violations may result in immediate cancellation with no refund.

PET POLICY
• No animals are allowed unless pre-approved in writing. This includes short visits.
• For short stays: $35/night pet fee (capped at $200).
• For long stays (30+ nights): $200 flat pet fee per pet.
• Emotional support animals are treated as pets and require approval and fees. Only registered service animals with proper documentation are exempt from the pet fee.
• All animals must be house-trained, non-destructive, and quiet. Dogs must be crated when in the property without a responsible adult in charge of their care.
• Pet waste must be picked up and properly disposed of. Litter boxes and pet food must not be left outside.
• No pets may be left outside without supervision.
• Unauthorized pets will result in a $1,000 fine, cancellation without refund, and removal.

SAFETY, SECURITY, AND BEHAVIOR
• Exterior cameras are in use at all entry points.
• Do not tamper with cameras, smoke detectors, or other safety devices.
• Do not share keys or entry codes with anyone not listed on the reservation.
• Illegal activity (drug use, theft, vandalism, harassment, etc.) will result in immediate eviction and may be reported.
• Do not remove or damage anything in the home. Guests will be billed for missing or broken items.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS
• Guests are responsible for their personal items. We are not liable for loss or theft.
• We do not forward mail or packages after departure. Please update your shipping address if needed.
• If your reservation is cancelled due to rule violations, you must remove all belonging from the property. Any vehicles left of the property after cancellation will be towed at the car owner`s expense.

This villa offers its guests a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.
