Lavender Cottage, Coniston - village cottage with walks from the door
A modern, yet traditional mid-terraced home, in a quiet cul de sac. Perfectly positioned Lavender Cottage is just minutes from all the delights Coniston village has to offer including tearooms, shops, pubs and restaurants. The lakeshore is just 10 minutes down the road and footpaths into the fells can be accessed from the front door.
Lovingly cared for, the cottage is warm, stylish and welcoming. All who visit Lavender Cottage are sure to find comfort in this 'home from home'. Due to its prime positioning your car can easily be left in the private parking space for the duration of your stay, allowing you to explore the local area on foot.
Though not too far from all village amenities the cottage enjoys a peaceful situ and the small gardens to the front and rear are both perfect for sitting out and watching the world pass by. In essence Lavender Cottage is a delightful home for couples, friends and families alike.
Ground floor
Entrance from the rear into the modern and well-appointed dining kitchen. Along with fell views the inviting kitchen benefits from microwave, electric hob & double electric oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine & tumble dryer.
The kitchen leads into the living room, with comfortable seating, web enabled TV & DVD and Lakeland slate fireplace. Imagine yourself curled up in front of a real fire, stretching out your tired legs after a successful day tramping in the fells or pottering around picturesque Lakeland villages and browsing through the collection of local guide books to plan your next adventures. The ideal end to the day.
First floor
Upstairs there's two lovely bedrooms, both en suite.
Bedroom 1 - double bed, en-suite bathroom & W.C. and fell views.
Bedroom 2 - twin single beds and en-suite shower room & W.C.
Outside
To the front there's a traditional stone porch and a lovely small and sheltered garden with bench & shrubs, a great place to enjoy a morning coffee and catch the afternoon sun.
To the rear there's a small back courtyard complete with furniture and stunning views, taking in the Yewdale Fells as they stretch northwards. Perfect to watch the shadows dance across the fells as the sun sinks, ideally with a drink to hand.
Travelling with a dog?
We can offer free use of a 1 acre enclosed field in Coniston village, perfect for off the lead running, walking, training and playing. Use by arrangement with The Coppermines Lakes Cottages only.
Facilities included
Gas central heating, all electricity,bed linen, towels, initial bag of logs, Wi-Fi.
