Beautiful location and a warm welcome

The property is isolated at the end of a very small lane but is immaculate and very well looked after. Salvatore the owner was an excellent host and he accommodated us arriving a couple of hours early. He cooked us wonderful pizzas and made our stay very pleasant. The villa had everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The pool was clean and the tennis court well maintained. The location was very private and about ten minutes from the nearest village but the Wi-Fi was 10/10 and the smart tv worked well. One word of advice, do not use google maps in this part of Italy as it really doesn’t work very well and you’ll get lost. Waze and Apple were more accurate. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen diner enormous In short a lovely stay in a stunning location.

Everything we wanted

As a family, we were looking forward to spending some time visiting historic/cultural places of interest whilst being mindful of the temperatures in August. Salvatore’s villa provided everything we wanted. Whilst being away from the central drag it was, nevertheless, accessible and gave us beautiful views. The pool and tennis court allowed us to “cool down” and exercise. It was ideal. Additionally, Salvatore is a superb host. Always available, ready to help and consistently upkeeps to property to a high standard. Highly recommended

An Amazing place to stay !!!!

We have stayed at a number of villas And this one is one of the best. The location is in the countryside. No one around you and very, very peaceful. The pool is big and great for kids and families. We all enjoyed the tennis Court and the owner supplied rackets and balls. At night, the pool has lights and the tennis court is flood Lit . One evening the owner comes and makes fresh Italian pizzas which were amazing. The filler is spotless all the way through from comfortable beds to a massive well equipped kitchen anything you need is there. We left our stay and hope to return very soon. A big thank you to Salvatore For coming every morning to make sure the pool is spotlessly clean and for making us the pizzas.

Magnificent!

Magnificent property with breath taking views, and the most wonderful and hospitable host. The property is serene, comfortable and relaxing. The town of Contursi Termi is quaint and the people are very friendly and helpful. The Monday market was amazingly accessible. Salvatore made us feel like we were at home and that was before pizza night! Oh, the pizza! Hang in there folks, you really can eat all those pizzas! Thank you Salvatore for your generosity and warmth. Villetta Italia now tops our list of best places in all of Europe - not just Italy.

Peaceful, relaxing base to explore the Sorrento peninsula

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The pool was magnificent. large and very clean thanks to Salvatore's early morning visits every day. The kitchen was also huge and easy to use. The highlight was Salvatore cooking delicious pizza's using the woodfired oven. The mozzarella was from the nearby cows, whose bells, we could hear gently as they passed by. We struggled to leave this wonderful setting, but did enjoy trips to Paestum, Herculaneum, Vietri Sul Mare, Pompeii, Vesuvius (Book online before you go up!), Naples and Sorrento. There was so much to do! We would strongly recommend this villa, Salvatore is so helpful. Thank you for the delicious home made olive oil. We hope to return again soon!

Fantastic stay

The property was spotless. The kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Outside the barbecue area was perfect and ideally positioned. Air conditioning worked and beds comfortable. Garden and pool area we could not fault. Probably the best pool we have ever had with Silvano preparing it every day for our use. Loved the tennis court and we spent time in the evenings having a few games. Silvano did pizzas mid week which was an absolute treat. We all thought we knew what we were doing but it was quite humbling to see an expert at work. Up there amongst the many highlights of the holiday. Lovely area and you will find everything you need in the local town. If you want peace, tranquility and nothing but bird song and cow bells then this is the place to go.

Excellent villa!

We stayed in Salvatore’s villa for one week. What a wonderful break! The villa itself is immaculate, with everything you could need. All comforts including air conditioning, an amazing private pool, tennis courts and even a wood fired pizza oven in the kitchen where Salvatore made us the most delicious pizzas one evening. We stayed as two families with children ranging from 1-13 and they all thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The villa is in a remote area and therefore very peaceful. Lots to do in the not too distant area (the Greek temples in Paestum must not be missed!) and not far from the Amalfi coast. Salvatore is an excellent host, communication is swift and he is very discreet whilst you are at the villa (he cleans the pool every morning) Would definitely recommend this villa!

Great villa

The villa is set in the hills and is accessed by winding, steep tracks but worth it as extremely quiet and a beautiful setting with lovely views. Coast is 40 minutes drive, Pompeii an hour and caves 30 minutes. Would highly recommend a boat trip up the Amalfi coast as we had an amazing day out. Not a tourist area so you can experience local restaurants and life. Nearest supermarket is small, and offers the basics so we just stopped at a larger one on way back from Pompeii. Brilliant local patisserie about 10 minutes away and lovely local restaurants all needing a car. Villa and swimming pool were great, with everything you need . Host cleaned pool daily and helpfully dealt with all our rubbish and recycling. He also made us amazing pizzas on one evening .. a real treat. Great villa if you are looking for a quiet location in rural Italy but close to the coast and Pompeii. Would recommend a visit.

Lovely peaceful property

The villa is absolutely gorgeous, well equipped and in a superb setting. Communication with Salvatore, the owner, was fine despite our mutual lack of each others language. A highlight was when he made all our party delicious pizzas in the on site oven. Pool was wonderful and the children loved it, all in all a great stay. If I had one downside it is the property is quite remote and it's a good 10 minute drive to Contursi terme village.

Peaceful and Relaxing

Stayed for 10 nights after a busy tour of Campania vineyards. We were fortunate to stay at the villa during a hot spell and made full use of the fantastic pool. Views from the garden are great and apart from Salvatore just down the track the villa feels very peaceful and isolated. 10 mins drive from the autoroute and about 1h20 to Naples airport. Aircon is efficient in the bedrooms, if you need it, but thanks to the bug screens on the windows and balcony we mostly used the mountain air. Beds are hard but surprisingly comfortable. Kitchen well stocked. The lower floor is a combined kitchen and sitting room while the bedrooms are on the upper floor. The floors are linked by 2 sets of stairs, both outside - not sure if its a local design feature but you soon adjust. Can't remember any problems and would consider a return visit so must have been good!

Peaceful location

We had a lovely week staying in the house. It is out of the way, but only a short distance to the motorway and the town of Contursi Terme. We had sunny but crisp weather in the middle of April and enjoyed the tennis court very much. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped and we enjoyed an open fire each evening. The breeze would make it a very comfortable place to visit in Summer when the huge pool would be very welcome. The house is somewhere to enjoy self catering. The outside kitchen/barbecue and covered dining area by the pool would be wonderful and the garden is very spacious.

Wonderful stay with pool and tennis

We visited the beautiful Villa Italia with 4 adults and 4 kids between 7-12 years. The villa was clean and in good condition, with large kitchen downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs. We enjoyed private pool, tennis court, barbeque and dinners outside. One evening our host Salvatore cooked pizza for us in the pizza oven! We made day trips to Amalfi coast (boating), local winery (Tenuta Macellaro) and waterpark. Perfect stay on the Italian country side!

Week in Contursi Terme

Salvatore was a great host. Despite not sharing a language he was really quick to reply to emails and the handover was very straightforward - as was handing back at the end. The house is lovely. It's spacious and well equipped. There are excellent views over the countryside and it's in a very tranquil setting. It goes without saying that a car is essential to anybody thinking of staying here. We visited all the usual sites, Pompeii and Vesuvius are a bit of a hike - but the closest beach is surprisingly close, and the start of the Amalfi coastline is also not far. It’s slightly outside the main tourist area but very accessible, and there are local attractions – for example the village of Quaglietta (castle), and the Ponte Tibertano at Laviano (dramatic bridge) were both highlights. Happy to recommend!

Beautiful house and grounds and a lovely host

Our family of 5 stayed here on the last week of June 2019. We found this house to be a great holiday rental in the countryside about 2 mile from the lovely town of Contursi Terme with its small shops and supermarkets for your provisions. We loved the large swimming pool in which we enjoyed many hours, especially our 8 year old. It was cleaned daily by the owner Salvatore and it became a refreshing escape from the heat of the sunny days. The property grounds were gated and we felt very secure staying here. Great facilities included a full size floodlit tennis court with many tennis rackets and balls to use. We loved having a family knock about in the cooler evenings finished of with a welcome dip in the pool. The outdoor bbq was also a good size and was used a lot for our evening meals. Inside the house the kitchen was large and well equipped with everything you could need including a lot basic condiments, olive oil, vinegars etc. The bedrooms were on the upper floor and were all good size with lots of clean bedding and also a numerous amount of clean towels for the bathrooms. A good base to visit the beaches near Salerno, the ruins at Pompeii and further to the beautiful scenery on the Amalfi coast. Although driving the roads around that coast was an experience I wouldn't want to repeat. We also enjoyed the short strolls down the lanes near the house taking in the local nature and wonderful views across to the picturesque mountain ranges. Although we had an atrocious level of spoken Italian and Salvatore spoke little English, we got our messages across ok and managed to learn some new Italian phrases and words. I have to say overall we enjoyed our experience at Salvatore's house and would love to come back again very soon.

Wonderful holiday villa

This is a lovely villa in a wonderful location up in the hills near Contursi Terme. The property itself was great, a large well equipped kitchen, lovely big outdoor space to sit in, 3 showers and a huge pool. There are stunning views of the mountains from the property and there was nothing better than lying in the pool taking in the views. Because it is in the hills, there is often a lovely breeze when sitting outside in the hot sun. I think it is important to point out that Salvatore does not live in the property, he lives in a house on the same road, I don't think that was completely clear from the description. This means that you have total privacy but he is available if needed for any queries so a very good situation. No properties overlooking the back of the property at all where the pool, garden and seating area is so very private indeed. Salvatore is lovely and friendly but also very discreet. He comes round once a day in the morning to clean the pool but apart from that leaves you to enjoy the house in private. The wireless internet in the property is very good and very reliable which was a very pleasant surprise. We used the house as a base to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum and found it ideal. About an hour drive from each which suited us fine as we wanted somewhere nice and rural but within touching distance of various places. Only 40 mins to Salerno as well which was a nice place to visit. Would recommend getting the Travel Mar boat from Salerno to Amalfi which was only 8 Euros and was a stunning trip along the coast. Contursi Terme itself is a 10 minute drive away and is a very nice little town which has a nice vibe in the evenings, not too busy but busy enough to feel good to be there. All in all, it was a great property in a great location and I would definitely recommend it if you are visiting this stuning region of Italy. Thank you for having us Salavatore.

A relaxing oasis

We had a lovely stay here in a great location. Very isolated and quiet at the end of a long steep track. Stunning views with superb outdoor facilities. Wonderful large pool and it’s own private floodlit tennis court. Very simple interior but we spent most of our time outside. We were able to visit a number of sites from here, including Pompeii, the caves of castelcivita and the amalfi coast. Our host Salvatore was very friendly and helpful, coming every day to clean the pool!

Wonderful villa with breathtaking scenery and great host

The villa in Contursi Terme was wonderful, actually more stunning then the photos. This is a great location for a relaxed holiday. We are a family of 4, 2 boys including a teenager. The scenery was breathtaking as well, beautiful Italian peaks. The villa is well equipped and extremely clean and well kept, the grounds are immaculate with everything you need and even more. The bedrooms are very spacious and the kitchen and dining area are huge. The pool was really big and my boys just loved the diving board, it was cleaned every day. The tennis courts were fantastic and we used them loads as they are floodlit at night. There are rackets and tennis balls galore as well so no need to buy anything. The tennis courts are very close to the villa, so you could even watch from the balcony. The wifi is extremely good which was a god send for a 14 year old and 10 year old. The host Salvatore is extremely gracious and was available at any time if we needed him. Communication was excellent. The area is very secluded but if you have a car the town is only a 10 minute drive away and can be seen on the hill from the villa. Contursi terme is beautiful, everything you need is there and the pizza is the best I've ever tasted, my kids couldn't get enough and the ice cream from Bar Mario was superb. Salvatore serves the best ice cream and coffee and provided us with lots of treats for free, extremely kind. For trips out, we visited Pompeii, which was about 50 minutes in the car, this is well worth a visit and is a stunning place with Vesuvius looming in the background. We also went to Herculaneum, about 1 hour in the car and again really glad we went. One last trip was a boat ride along the Amalfi coast from Salerno. Salerno was only about 25 minutes from the villa and we stopped for the day at Positano. Everything and more as the Amalfi coast is beautiful. Our flights from the U.K. went into Naples which was just over an hour from the villa by car, we hired a car from Avis just outside the airport. All in all we had a wonderful holiday, lots to do at the villa, lots in the surrounding area, but super relaxing. Highly recommend.

Salvatore was a great host and very helpful. Treated us all to ice cream and cleaned the pool every day. We stayed for a week and spent a lot of time at the property because it was such a great place for our kids. Tennis court, pool and various sport and pool toys/equipment were there to keep them entertained. Felt very secluded and private.

Saubere Unterkunft mit herrlichem Ausblick & Pool

Sehr saubere Unterkunft mit tollem Pool und Tennisplatz. Küche und ein Badezimmer sind durch eine Außentreppe von den Schlafzimmern mit den beiden anderen Badezimmern getrennt. Die Matratzen sind gut und eher fest. In der Küche findet man alles, was man braucht. Der Vermieter hat uns angeboten im Pizzaofen in der Küche gemeinsam Pizza zu machen, hat uns aber auch erlaubt, diesen alleine zu benutzen. Direkt in der Nähe gibt es keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, aber es gibt auf dem Weg von Neapel ca. 25 km von der Unterkunft entfernt große Supermärkte, die täglich von früh bis spät geöffnet haben.

Super maison en pleine campagne

Maison très agréable avec une immense piscine et un tennis, au milieu de la campagne, très calme. Les 3 chambres sont grandes avec de grands placards. La cuisine immense est accessible par un escalier extérieur. La maison est à 1h de Pompéi et de Naples, ce qui est top pour visiter 👍 Le propriétaire, Salvatore, est super gentil. Il vient nettoyer la piscine tous les matins… La soirée pizza est extra, des pizzas excellentes qu’on n ‘est pas prêt d’oublier! Un grand merci! Je recommande cette maison si vous aimez la tranquillité tout en étant à 1h des sites touristiques. Nous avons passé une super semaine dans cette maison ☺️
