My husband and I were there for 5 nights while visiting our daughter attending the University of Iowa. It was a perfect spot for us…spacious room, clean and comfortable, great location with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay there again. It's a good stay. Everything is very compact and efficient in this Studio-like hotel room. The appliances (kitchen and laundry) were nothing special but they got the job done. The outlets in the kitchen had child-proofing that worked so well that I couldn't even plug anything in. Thankfully the staff were very kind and were able to send someone to help! The breakfast was a little bare bones (only a handful of selections every morning) but I wasn't really eating there that much anyway. Everything regarding the room and hotel was clean. Only the elevator was a little dirty. This hotel is close to train tracks so expect to hear that in the middle of the night sometimes. Overall, the bad things weren't really a bother to me at all, so I recommend this place!
