wouldn't stay again

Pros: nothing
Cons: eeverything
Went to the hotel for one night got there car park was full sign outside said if full talk to reception i taught maybe an overflow area. Spoke to the guy behind the desk ignorant is to nice a word told me i would have to sit in the car and wait till space became free or park on road outside and (pay) car park has about 15 spots that are all taking up by staff id say as there would be more than 15 working there. on internet describes parking as limited. but 15 spaces for such a big hotel is shocking...... only good point in the hotel were the bar staff very nice made us feel welcome and very helpful. But the reception desk ... these people are working with the public everyday... my good there manners a disgrace (not all i will add) i got up the next morning to find out the 189 i paid did not include breakfast i had to pay a charge of 29 euro for the breakfast. for it only to be have cooked like something a child had put together....sausages half cooked i wouldn't let my kids eat them scrambled egg was overflowing with water all and all not a great experience... but one thing is for sure i will not being staying there again id rather sleep on the streets in cork ...

house of horrors next to grave yard

Pros: carpark
Cons: staff,a bit of hospitality training would help, carpet in bedroom and stairs one without a big stain or patch would do.
Location: nothing really outstanding.
hotel staff never had a pleasant look on their faces always seemed to be over worked,having an evening meal meant the whole evening waiting and when starter arrived the one slice of brown bread could have been used as an anvil it was so hard, but the waitress didnt seem to mind when we brought it to her notice she just changed it for another hard one not as hard. no soap or toilet brush in room,when my wife asked for a jug for some milk she was given a glass and told there was a shortage of jugs, room cleaner knocking the bedroom door at 8.30 am wanting to get in and clean the room laughable.

Short stay

Welcoming and friendly. Food and drink reasonably priced in keeping with surrounding bars and restaurants. Family room was very spacious and clean. Spa facilities great. Overall a very pleasant experience. Thanks

Weekend stay

All in all a fantastic hotel The staff were extremely friendly and helpful The bar area is comfortable The facilities are upto date and all you will require I'll be back for sure

nIce getaway, good location

room was recently redone so was impressed with the quality. Good location, reception could be a bit more pleasant and forthcoming. Wasn't informed of check-out times or breakfast etc.

Really central....once we found it

A really pleasant stay. Our main difficulty was FINDING The Maldron. Although we had print of Cork, we initially found the hotel very difficult to find. Granted it was dark, and in a hire car, but because of the many one-systems in Cork,what appeared to simple was not. Now we know how to get there, we would definitely choose The Maldron again.

Excellent Location with good leisure facilities

My room was dated, the bed was comfortable, the bath was full sized and the shower was brilliant. I couldn't fault the location, just a short walk from the center with all that Cork City has to offer. The Shandon Bells and Butter Museum are literally a few steps from the hotel entrance and both are worthwhile of a visit, very interesting. I really enjoyed the leisure facilities: a swimming pool, steam room, sauna, hot tub and gym. The staff were friendly and helpful. I thought that the hotel meals were a little expensive but acknowledge that hotel meals usually do cost more than restaurants in town. All in all I had a good stay and will definitely stay at this hotel again if I can get the same package. Try this hotel, I do not think you will be disappointed - I wasn't. Mo Cox
