Overall the stay and place was excellent. We love Lost Colony. We stayed in the same house years ago and we really enjoyed the updates. Just for awareness the top of the stairs to the deck was unfastened upon arrival and could be a safety hazard.

Really rough stay

We loved the location and the layout of the home. Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness and safety issues during our stay. The vents and surfaces were extremely dusty (one of our party left with a respiratory infection), the coffeepot glass had a hole and was cracked, and dead bugs were also all over the home. The back exterior stairs also had a nail that stuck out and nicked the ankle of someone in our party. As previously mentioned by another guest, blinds are sorely needed. There were some beach supplies provided, which was very nice. Local property manager was nice and responsive, but admitted the issues were due to a staffing. She did drop off a replacement coffee pot and supplies that were supposed to have been left by the cleaners. The property is run by a company called Vacasa, and unfortunately they didn't have much oversight as to what was happening with the local staff. Responses were also delayed because they had to speak to local staff to discuss next steps.

Fantastic house!!!

We loved our house with 2nd and 3rd levels having wonderful views of the gulf. Enjoy the covered 2nd floor deck to protect your from the sun and heat. Really beautifully finished out and furnished. Would absolutely tay again!!
