Gr8 hotel

Fantastic hotel, friendly & helpful staff. I booked a room with executive lounge access very chilled & relaxed, definitely worth paying a bit more for.

Nice hotel, bad ethics and high unexpected deposit

Pros: Nice room, good facilities and WiFi. Extremely comfortable bed and a great view.
Cons: Staff- could make trying to steal our deposit a little less obvious?... Need better lighting in rooms, and cleaner windows!
Location: We would recommend: - Going up the Eiffel tower if you have not so already. - A Burger place "Il Etait Un Square" - best burger we've ever had!
Upon checking in everything seemed as expected until we were asked to for a €50 euro deposit per night (€150 total as we stayed for 3 nights) which we were forced to pay in cash as they wouldn't accept my card. This was unexpected as it is not mentioned anywhere when booking and this took a large chunk out of our spending money. The room was nice however the windows were dirty which took away from view, and there was no lighting in the seating area which meant it was very dark in the evening. Location of the hotel is great, it is right next to a metro station which takes you directly into Paris. Unfortunately checking out was exactly as we expected after our experience checking in, after paying our city tax we were told that was everything done and thanked for our stay. When we asked for our deposit the receptionist gave us a confused look and asked how we paid it, we said that we paid in cash and she then spent a while looking at her computer (still with a baffled expression) before saying she had to go check and disappearing for 5 minutes. She then returned and proceeded to hand us €100 in cash, we then reminded her it was for 3 nights (which she should have known after charging us 3 nights worth of city tax) and should be €150 she gave us another confused look before disappearing again for another couple of minutes then returning with another €50. We had to sign for both of these separately along with another signature to cancel a mystery minibar charge.

Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Paris

Just arrived back from a weeks stay at the Melia. Wow what a lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff and great location. Although the hotel is in the business district the metro station is right outside the door giving easy access to all must see attractions. A 15 minute walk takes you to a large indoor shopping centre which includes well know brands and a huge supermarket plus a marks and Spencer's foodhall. The staff couldn't have been more helpful during our stay and would certainly stay there again.

Great family trip

We upgraded to level room which was well worth it only problem was level lounge had no view but we understand it may be moved to floor 19 for view We had very good service from Karrina in level lounge she was very helpful

Gutes Hotel, aber mangelhafter Service

Das Hotel liegt etwa 4-5 Metro-Stationen vom Arc de Triomphe entfernt (ca. 10 min) und ca. 10 Geh-Minuten vom Bahnhof La Défense und dem Einkaufszentrum „4 temps“ entfernt. Die Zimmer waren sauber (außer die Fenster) und das Frühstück mehr als ausreichend. Der Service der Mitarbeiter waren leider in vielen Bereichen nicht sehr gut: Beim Check-in mussten wir 15 min warten, weil 2 Mitarbeiter zwar mit Gästen beschäftigt waren, bei der einen Empfangsdame handelte es sich aber um ein lockeres Gespräch über Wetter und co, bei dem anderen Gästen gab es scheinbar ein größes Problem (man hätte einfach jemanden drittes dazu holen können, der sich um die wartenden Gäste zum Check-in kümmert). Der Zimmerserive hat bei uns an 3 Tagen das Zimmer machen müssen und an 2 von den 3 Tagen fehlten Handtücher. Beim ersten Tag gleich so extrem, dass ich an die Rezeption musste um welche zu holen, da nur ein großes Handtuch da war (keine kleinen Handtücher und ein kleines Handtuch lag als Badvorleger auf dem Boden...). Ich finde Hotels gut, bei denen nicht täglich die Handtücher gewechselt werden und man diese nur dann auf den Boden legt, wenn sie wirklich „schmutzig“ sind. Hier wurden sie einfach von der Stange genommen und in unserem Fall zum Teil nicht ersetzt, sodass wir wie gesagt 2 von 3 malen ohne genügend Handtüchern dastanden. Ich würde dennoch das Hotel jederzeit empfehlen, da mir das Viertel sehr gut gefallen hat und man eigentlich alles notwendige in der Nähe hatte.
