The apartment does not overlook the beach - it faces a park & parking lot. The apartment was very basic - everything was extra, including a second blanket (which we could have used, since we could not understand how to turn up the heat). There were 3 locks on the door, the floor in the bedroom creaked & it felt like we were going to fall through. There weren’t any lights in the hallway & the street was noisy.
The listing said they spoke English but every communication & the whole guide book were in French. I got tired of all the translations & all the instructions on entering, staying & leaving.
The VRBO / Expedia listing said check out was 11:00 a.m. but the owner’s said they wanted us out by 10:00 a.m. & they wanted to come over before we left to collect the key (not happening).
They had some board games, which were good & once we discovered the roll top outside blinds, it wasn’t so bright in the morning. It was within walking distance of the Juno Centre.
We would not stay here again & I’d never put my child in the high chair in the apartment. We’d rather stay in a hotel in Bayeux .. way more comfortable & way more convenient.
