Nestled amongst the canopy of a dozen live oak trees, you will find this beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bath gem offering a full kitchen, living area, fireplace, reading nook, workspace, outdoor firepit, bbq pit, plenty of outdoor patio furniture to stretch out on, cornhole and an assortment of games. Fantastic location just a short 45 minute drive from New Orleans and within minutes to Abita Springs and Downtown Covington with so many activities, terrific restaurants and shopping offered around town.

Whispering Oaks is a private property just under 2 acres. There are three homes on the property, which can all be rented together or offered as individual rentals. All three have their own private entrances, backyards, courtyards and driveways. "The Cottage" and “The Barn” are also offered and sleep up to 7 guests each.

Please bag your garbage before placing in outside can. Trash company will not pick up cans that have loose garbage/food items. The cleaners charge an additional $100 fee to bag any loose items.
Please do not strip the beds/linens. We have a process for stripping each room. Thank you!

Rules

We have a strict no confetti/glitter rule in the home. No smoking. No Shrimp, crab, crawfish or seafood boils of any kind. No unauthorized guests.
No events/parties. All dogs must be pre-approved (up to 2) prior to confirming your reservation as we do have to adhere to certain breed restrictions
No bounce houses, tents or rentals of any kind to be set up on the property.

I booked both Whispering Oaks and the Barn for a place to stay for my daughter's Wedding in Abita Springs. This was a great location. The Bride/Bridesmaids got ready at Whispering Oaks, while the Groom/Groomsmen got ready at the Barn. Whispering Oaks has lots of space, comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen provided everything we needed. The artwork and furniture provided great settings for pictures. This location was 8 minutes away from our Wedding Venue. Carrie was prompt when we needed her to address an issue. I felt very blessed to have booked this house! It was so clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated.

Great house for our extended family

So thankful we found this house so our family could stay together for our little family reunion! The house was so perfect for us to comfortably spend time together in the common areas but also have our own space when needed (when some wanted to sleep in and others were up early)! The kitchen is spacious, well equipped and perfect for family meals. A huge bonus is the linens and towels were plush and great quality. Carrie was such a delight- very responsive and hospitable! We plan to come back here annually as we visit our grandparents nearby in Money Hill!

Wonderful!

The property more than exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, nestled around beautiful oak and pine trees, very peaceful and quiet. The house is beautifully furnished and well appointed and easily accommodated six adults with three large bathrooms. Landscaping, especially in the backyard made spring nights lovely to sit and chat with family. Fine dining and gourmet grocery stores are all within 10 minutes or less away. No need to venture into New Orleans to have an enjoyable and relaxing vacay. We highly recommend a stay here.

The house is so unique and comfortable, and Carrie is awesome. We had a minor unforeseen issue come up on a holiday weekend and Carrie was quick to respond and communicate to get it fixed. I cannot recommend highly enough.

Cozy Covington Family House
