About the home
“Holiday on Chapel Cowes” is a delightful single-storey family home in a quiet and private location in central Cowes. Everything is close by - just a short walk from the beach and all of the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés that Cowes has to offer. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 55" smart TV, DVD player with some family-friendly DVDs & a collection of card & board games) flows out to the rear Alfresco, and a hallway provides access to Bedroom 1 and 2 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with bath & shower), a separate Toilet and a Laundry (with washing machine and access to the rear courtyard).
Outdoor Areas
The delighful sheltered rear semi-covered courtyard (with gas BBQ & seating for 5) provides a lovely private area to relax. The Single Garage (with table tennis table, boogie boards, deck chairs & beach play equipment) is accessed via the rear courtyard and provides another space to relax and enjoy this fantastic family-friendly home in central Cowes. There is one dedicated car space in front of the home, with additional street parking available. The Garage is not for car parking, however guests could also fold up the table tennis table in the Garage if they want to store motorbikes, etc, securely.
Just 300m down the road is the Erehwon Point beachfront playground, with swings, slides, climbing equipment and covered communal BBQ faciities. Also close to the medical centre (Phillip Island Health Hub) & 400m from an EV charging station.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, sandwich maker, blender, milk shake maker, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are three wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the home; one in the Kitchen/Dining/Living room and one in each of the two bedrooms. There is also an electric blanket on the Queen bed during the Winter months.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 4 beds accommodating up to 5 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One set of Single bunks and one Single bed
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
