Welcome to our Off-Grid Mountain Retreat nestled in the heart of the Rio Grande Forest. Our custom-built, off-grid cabin is a masterpiece of craftsmanship, art, and beauty. From the large picture windows enjoy the views of Nelson Mountain.

Our one bedroom, one bathroom with an additional loft sleeper sofa is the perfect mountain cabin for a family of four or two couples. Our cabin is equipped with solar power and backup generator. Enjoy all of the comforts of home from our spectacular off-grid cabin.

Each detail has been thoughtfully designed and expertly executed, from the wood milled directly from the property to the intricate metal art. In the meadow below the cabin, you can catch sight of moose, deer and other neighborhood friends. The proximity to ATV trails makes it convenient for outdoor enthusiasts to explore the rugged terrain and enjoy thrilling adventures. Additionally, being close to high mountain creek fishing offers anglers endless fishing opportunities. For history buffs, the nearby historic mining sites provide insights into the region's rich mining heritage. The proximity to town allows for shopping, enjoying local cuisine, and taking in a play at the renowned Creede Repertory Theater.

NOTE: 4WD/AWD is required YEAR-ROUND! ATV/trailer parking is available for a twelve-foot (12ft) trailer or smaller. The driveway is steep gravel.

This home is pet-friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs, and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max of $250 per stay).

Consistent with most Colorado mountain homes, the home does not offer air-conditioning.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Book at least a week, and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Year’s).

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, you will need to pay in full at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount. In contrast, cancellations made more than thirty (30) days before your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

This cabin offers its guests barbecue grills. The front desk is open around the clock.

This Creede cabin is smoke free.
