They're even mentioned in the Myth of Jason and Argonauts, so if you're fan of Greek mythology and literature, Cres is definitely a must -visit. In the past, Cres was connected to Losinj, but due to the needs of trade, these islands were separated by an artificially dug canal near Osor.
