Host & Stay | Cabbell Towers
Summary:
We’re delighted to present Cabbell Towers, a renovated 2-bedroom Victorian retreat in Cromer. Perfect for families or friends, it's a 3-minute walk to the promenade and award-winning beach. Explore the vibrant town, with pubs, restaurants, and shops just minutes away. Park directly outside the property and stay in comfort for your next North Norfolk seaside getaway!
The Space:
Relax in the open-plan lounge and dining area, which offers ample space for unwinding, movie nights, or board games. With plenty of seating, everyone can enjoy a comfortable evening after a busy day by the sea.
Next to the lounge, the well-equipped kitchen and dining space include essential large appliances—fridge, freezer, oven, hob, washer-dryer, and dishwasher. You’ll also find handy smaller appliances like a coffee machine, microwave, kettle, and toaster. A breakfast bar separates the main cooking area from the dining space, which has seating for all guests, plus a highchair for little ones.
Cabbell Towers features two bedrooms—a spacious king-size bedroom and a cosy twin bedroom. Both rooms are furnished with high-quality bed linen and provide plenty of storage space for your luggage.
The family bathroom, conveniently located off the main hallway, boasts a standalone bath, shower, toilet, and sink. A heated towel rail adds a nice touch of comfort, perfect after a day at the beach! Additionally, there’s a separate W/C near the front entrance.
While there isn’t a garden, the property boasts the rare advantage of a private parking spot just outside the apartment block—a valuable perk in Cromer. The beach is only a few steps away, making it easy to enjoy seaside strolls, fish and chips, and the refreshing sea air. Your perfect coastal retreat awaits!
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property.
The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
The Neighborhood:
Cabbell Towers is perfectly located just a short stroll from Cromer’s main attractions, including the charming Cromer town centre, the expansive sandy beach, and the iconic Cromer Pier. The town is full of delightful pubs, restaurants, and independent shops, offering visitors a true taste of Norfolk's coastal charm.
Cromer is a picturesque seaside town known for its vast beach, famous for the Cromer crabs and the historic crab fishing boats. The beach is perfect for families, with shallow waters to the right of the pier, and the further you walk, the more tranquil and isolated the shoreline becomes. On sunny days, the clear waters offer a stunning backdrop for a peaceful day by the sea.
The town boasts a variety of popular spots to eat and drink, such as The Art House Café, Hatters Tea Shop, The Rocket Café, and the North Lodge Park Tea Rooms, located atop the cliffs for stunning views. For traditional pub fare, The Red Lion Pub and The White Horse are local favorites. The Gangway is a growing hotspot for wine and cocktails, while fish and chips lovers will find Mary Janes and Number 1 Fish and Chips highly recommended by locals.
For shopping, Cromer has seen a wave of exciting new openings in recent years, including galleries, surf shops, and organic food outlets. Lizzies is ideal for fresh produce, and The Craft Bakery is the go-to spot for freshly baked bread.
The Pavilion Theatre, dating back to 1905, hosts the famous end-of-pier summer show, the last of its kind in the world. The pier itself, with a history dating back to 1391, has withstood many storms and undergone significant renovation, including an £8 million investment in 2012 to restore the pier and Victorian sea defences.
A visit to Cromer wouldn’t be complete without learning about Henry Blogg, Cromer’s legendary lifeboat coxswain, who saved 837 lives at sea. The RNLI Henry Blogg Museum is a must-see to discover his incredible story. Other local attractions include Felbrigg Hall, Cromer Zoo, and the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre.
For walkers, the cliff path leads to Overstrand (a great spot for a drink or meal at The Sea Marge Hotel) and continues to Sheringham. The coastal walk from Sheringham to Weybourne offers the chance to spot the Heritage Steam Train running along the Poppy Line. Be sure to check the tide times if you're walking between Sheringham and Cromer, as parts of the walk are along the beach. If you prefer public transport, the Coastal Hopper Bus connects Cromer, Sheringham, and nearby coastal towns.
For day trips, Cromer Train Station provides easy access to Norwich, where you can enjoy a river walk or explore the vibrant Norwich Market, known for its fresh produce, cheeses, baked goods, and street food.
Getting Around:
Cromer is compact and easily walkable, so once you’ve arrived, most of the main attractions, including Cromer Beach, Cromer Pier, and the town center with its shops, cafés, and restaurants, are all just a short stroll from Cabbell Towers. For those looking to explore further afield, cycling is also a popular option along the scenic coastal paths, and local buses can take you to nearby villages and towns.
Cromer is easily accessible via the A140 from Norwich (approximately 40 minutes away), or via the A149 coastal road.
Cromer has its own train station, just a short walk from Cabbell Road (about 10 minutes). The Bittern Line connects Cromer with Norwich, and from there, visitors can catch direct trains to London, Cambridge, and other major cities.
Regular bus services, including the Coasthopper, connect Cromer with other towns along the North Norfolk Coast such as Sheringham, Wells-next-the-Sea, and Hunstanton. The bus station is within walking distance from Cabbell Road.
Whether you’re visiting the beach, exploring the town, or venturing along the coast, 18 Cabbell Road is ideally situated to make the most of Cromer and its surroundings.
