Family wedding near Bordeaux

Our family of 7 stayed for four days while we attended a wedding nearby. It was set in beautiful countryside in a picturesque but very quiet village. The accommodation is at the rear of the house shown in the photos in the listing.There are two large supermarkets less than 10 minutes away by car. In my opinion it would be essential to have a car unless you are a keen cyclist. Taxis are had to find but there is a train station nearby that goes the Bordeaux. The house was very well stocked in the kitchen and dining area and had a nice shady terrace in the garden outside. It was very hot while we were there but the house was made of stone so lovely and cool. For two of the bedrooms there is an external metal staircase to access that would be tricky in wet weather or for less able people but three bedrooms inside on the ground floor.The rooms were light and airy and really comfortable. I would have appreciated more pillows and larger towels, otherwise everything was fantastic. Our host only spoke French but one of our party spoke French well so could explain any details.

Beautiful place

Martine is very friendly and eargerly helped us to book a very good place for lunch. Although the house is large and beautiful, 2 of the bedrooms is from the outside entrance that won't allow us to get together easily in the evening.

Martine est une charmante dame très accueillante sympathique. Logement génial nous étions 10 adultes. 5 chambres dont 3 salle de bain et wc et 2 autres avec salle de bain commun idéale vu le nombre. Très propre bon chauffage rien a dire idéale pour 10 personnes Personne ne se gêne Je recommande ce gîte et merci beaucoup à Martine
