It was a greater experience. Cuenca is wonderful, and Gran Hotel is perfect to rest at night and to have a relaxing trip.

Perfect Pet Friendly Hotel

Had a great stay - besides it being a bit tricky to find in the dark, once we found it, we felt safe. We had a rough start -- the main front door is locked later in the evening, and no one was at the front desk when we arrived around 9pm, plus them NOT having our reservation on file (I booked it online!), and the employee on duty didn't speak a word of English. But I pulled out Google Translate, and thank goodness they had a dog friendly room available. The room turned out to be perfect, located on the ground floor, furthest back from the courtyard. The room was quiet and clean. The employees were all very friendly and happy to see my Doberman, and allowed him to quietly sit next to us while we ate breakfast. The complimentary breakfast was a perfect start to the day, which is served in the morning in the courtyard. I'd recommend this quiet place, and will it will be our go-to when we need to visit Cuenca. The bonus is that its downtown, and in walking distance to everything.

La reservacion nunca se hizo cómo es pos8ble que Expedia pone a ofertar un Hotel que no existe. Cuando llegamos nos indicaron que el Hotel ya no existe con ese Nombre. Me parece muy mal espero no me hagan elndebito por algo que nonuse incluso me toco buscar hotel al apuro.

Rustico no equivale a abandonado

En comparacion a varias construcciones refaccionadas que he visitado en cuenca, esta deja un muy mal sabor de boca, tanto en acabados como en detalles de mera higiene (elementos de baño oxidados, dañados o mal instalados) hasta en temas de seguridad como instalaciones electricas que hacen ver un cierto abandono y poco interes en la administracion de estas instalaciones. Aunque la atencion y el servicio otorgado fueron agradables, las instalaciones en general dejan mucho que desear

Una familia con niños pequeños sin hotel

Luego de un viaje de 10 horas, mi familia y yo llegamos para encontrarnos con que la reservacion que habiamos hecho en el hotel no habia sido procesada a pesar de que recibi una confirmacion en mi correo electronico de que todo estaba listo. Pesimo por parte de hotels.com y el Gran Hotel. Es la segunda vez en menos de un año que tengo problemas con hoteles reservados a traves de esta pagina.
