Wallace State is a very special part of the Cullman community. It holds the distinction of producing several major league baseball stars and country music artists. But our very favorite piece of Wallace State lore is a bit closer to our hearts. Because, it is the place the owners of The Flying Fifty first met and where they fell in love.

The Wallace Suite is a large space, including a luxurious king bed, high speed internet, 65 inch-television, and a separate living area in addition to the sleeping quarters. Historic photographs and memorabilia throughout the suite highlight our beloved connection to Wallace State. Your private balcony awaits for you to enjoy a small town evening.

After a long day exploring the town, relax in front of your own 75-inch television with AppleTV in the living space. Or settle into your comfy sofa and plush chairs and enjoy the suite's Marshall Bluetooth speaker.

While the famous Rumor’s Deli is right next door and available for direct room service, the suite is also equipped with a cozy minibar space, complete with a Nespresso coffee/espresso machine, refrigerator, and freezer.

The spacious full private bathroom provides a refreshing zero-entry shower and is fully equipped with a Dyson hairdryer, luxury toiletries by D.S. and Durga, and luxurious Red Land Cotton towels, crafted in Alabama.

In the common areas of the hotel, enjoy the fully stocked library with record player and vintage vinyl records. From the library, step outside into the tranquil patio space complete with cozy chairs and a luxury firepit.

Smoking is strictly prohibited anywhere on The Flying Fifty premises, including balconies, rooftops, parking lots, restrooms, rooms, or common areas. A $300 fee will be charged for ionization if smoking on the property is detected.

No pets or animals are allowed. Failure to notify hotel management or staff of bringing a pet will result in a $500 pet fee added to the guest's bill.

The Flying Fifty Guests are expected to use common areas respectfully and must not cause damage to any equipment located therein.

As a guest of this hotel, you'll find an elevator and local meal delivery service. The front desk is open around the clock.
