Unacceptable and insecure payment options.

The property's payment terms are insecure and unacceptable. I had already made arrangements for payment of the room rental through Hotels.com, but the property insisted on access to my personal banking and credit information as security for incidentals. The property does not accept cash either as payment or as deposit for incidentals. The only payment accepted is a credit or debit card showing the customer's name. Consequently, the hotel refused to honor the reservation made electronically in advance through Hotels.com. Travelers should never give to hotels or other vendors unrestricted access to personal bank and credit accounts to cover incidentals. The front desk clerk was condescending and arrogant.
