I knew as soon as I drove into the parking lot that booking at this location was a mistake. The presence of air conditioning window units indicated that the central air was likely either inoperable or only functioning in certain areas. The parking lot was dirty, and the fake grass at the entrance reeked of pet urine. Despite my concerns, I checked in since I had prepaid for three nights, hoping that the interior would be better.
Upon entering the lobby, I was disappointed again. It looked outdated and had an overall vibe that I couldn't quite identify, but I definitely didn’t like it.
Check-in was easy, and the representative was friendly. However, there was an oddly placed indoor pool right in the lobby. My room was located far from the front, and the hallways were dank and poorly lit in some areas. The room itself was also disappointing, and I didn't feel it was clean by my standards. Nothing about the hotel met my expectations, so I decided to check out immediately, even though I would lose the money I had prepaid for all three nights. I booked a room at the Westin Downtown Dallas instead, and I have no regrets.
I would advise against staying at this hotel if you have even a moderately high standard for accommodations. I'm unsure who is rating this place so highly but I disagree.
