It was good, not great.

Over all it was a good weekend, but there were things that weren’t so great. First of all, the bed was maybe the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept in. We were planning to stay 2 nights, but when it was time for bed the second night we decided last minute to go home early (we live 45minutes away) because we needed decent sleep and the first night neither of us slept well in that bed. Second, our bath tub was super clogged and we asked for maintenance. Someone came and unclogged it but it still wouldn’t drain after they left. I am a bit of a germaphobe and it really grossed me out and kept me from using it. Third, the only real customer service we got was dozens of hotel employees trying to upsell us on more vacations while we were trying to enjoy the current one. It really turned me off. And no one seemed to care that we requested check out a day early? They didn’t ask why or anything. Not a big deal, but I expected more hospitality from this particular hotel.

Resort was amazing! The room was clean. The hotel was quiet. Even with a convention occurring at the same time, we did not hear any noise in our room. The outdoor pool and lazy river were a great way to relax after a long day.

I would like to give a special shout-out to Gloria who has worked at the Hilton Anatole for 42 years. Gloria works in the catering department and went above and beyond to take care of me, ensuring that my dietary needs (restrictions) were met. She took personal responsibility of the situation and she demonstrated some who cares deeply about customer service. That feels like a rarity today. I sincerely hope she is rewarded, not only for her longevity but also her commitment to guests. That kind of customer service cannot be bought - it is intrinsic and Gloria had it in spades. Thank you Gloria!

Very unsatisfied. Booked for special occassion, splurged for room upgrade, was given basic room with a fold down bed. Was not given the room we paid for nor was there another room available to change too, was going to charge over $200 to check out early. The amenities closed early. Thats the 1st and last time we go to a fancy hotel.
