Clean and eclectic inner-city house with a modern and vintage farm flair, nestled between Lake Banook and Sullivan’s Pond. Just 13 minute walk to downtown Dartmouth, 15 minute walk to Ferry Terminal. Quick Drive to Halifax. Comfortable living spaces, fully equipped kitchen and clean bathroom with jetted tub!

Welcome to our charming urban vintage farm retreat in the heart of Dartmouth! Our home is well lived in and well loved and promises a cozy, warm and welcoming feeling from the moment you step inside. When in town we offer rooms to fellow travelers.
Our well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing delicious home-cooked meals. The barn-inspired dining room is a unique feature, complete with a large wooden table and a custom-built light fixture made from wood sourced from the family farm in Cape Breton.
The living room also has a futon that can accommodate an extra guest.
Relax in the comfortable queen bed and there is also a 2nd bedroom available with a comfy single cot. Both bedrooms are flooded with dappled sunlight and features nice-sized closet and each with a dedicated work station.
The full bathroom is located on the second floor with the bedrooms. It has been updated with modern tilework and features a heated jetted deep soaker tub, great for relaxing after a long day.
Walk along the scenic Sullivans Duck Pond, where, on finer days, you may find our famous white geese and Pekoe our lovely neighbourhood cat. In winter, remember to bring your skates, in summer bring you canoe. We refer to our street as the happiest place on earth, and we can`t wait for you to experience it for yourself!
Driveway parking can be made available for guests, upon request. Meantime, free street parking is available on Bolton Terrace (which we often use for ease) next to the property except for an occasional snow ban, in which case we recommend you park at the end of the driveway.
Check in anytime after 3:00PM on check in date, let yourselves in at any time after that with keypad access provided before check-in.
Unfortunately the building is not wheelchair accessible. You will have access to bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen and dining room, back yard and washer/dryer in basement. This listing is not shared with any other guests or homeowner when open, however it is not completely clear of homeowner items.
Please handle all of your personal garbage, compost and recycles properly upon departure, instruction are inside the door below the sink. Please leave the space tidy, completely scrub pots and return all items to the spaces you found them, apart from linens. And please remember to take all your personal belongs, close windows, turn the heat to 17 or cooling to 24, turn off all heated floors, if on, and lock the doors.
We respect your privacy and want you to feel fully at home. We won’t be present during your stay, but we’re always just a message away if you need anything.
We are located near downtown Dartmouth, between Sullivan`s Pond and Lake Banook. Many local restaurants, cafes and grocery stores are within walking distance. If you want to explore Halifax, the Ferry Terminal is only a 15 minute walk. If you are looking for something specific don’t hesitate to ask.
The home is located on a main downtown street. Free parking is available on the street unless there is heavy snowfall (which is rare) or on the property, if you prefer. The neighbourhood is very walkable.

Tidy kitchen and bathroom, and place dishes in the dishwasher and start the dishwasher before you leave. Kindly wash all wooden handle knives by hand and ensure pots and pans are clean and dry and returned to their original space. You may leave linens on the bed and towels in the tub for the cleaners.
*No smoking or vaping of any substances in units or building
*Please note that access to the bathroom requires passing through the bedroom.
There is a $300 penalty for unauthorized pets in the unit.

-Please do not flush paper towels, tissues and feminine products down toilet
- Please use a reasonable amount of water and electricity to help us maintain a sustainable environment; excessive usage may result in additional charges.
-Unapproved Late Checkout Policy: Checkout is 11 AM; unauthorized late checkout fees: $50 (up to 1 hour), $100 (after 11 AM), $150 (after 12 PM)
- Damage Deposit (For All Bookings EXCEPT AIRBNB): A $500 damage deposit will be automatically authorized from the payment method on file. This deposit will be held upon check-out. If no damages or additional fees are required, this deposit will be refunded to you after 7 days.
- The person who booked is required to send a photo of his/her ID and the full names of the other guests staying for verification purposes only on the side of the hosts.
- Lost & Left-Behind Items upon Check-out: Please double-check and take all of your belongings with you at check-out. Our team is not responsible for any items left behind by guests. If you realize you’ve forgotten something, please contact us right away. While we cannot guarantee its return, we will do our best to assist. If you request shipping of left-behind items, a $70 fee will apply, and items will only be shipped once payment has been received.
