Laurel Woods is a stylish modern cabin that overlooking the Greenbelt with high-end furnishings that comfortably sleeps 8. The home has three bedrooms, three full baths, two living spaces, and multiple outdoor options to enjoy nature.

Within the gates of Big Canoe, explore 20 miles of hiking trails, a Jeep trail, 3 waterfalls and 3 lakes with stunning views of the Blue Ridge mountains. Big Canoe also offers a 27-hole championship Mountain Course designed by Joe Lee, one of the finest Racquet Clubs in the Atlanta area with 10 courts to choose from, two pools, sandy beach areas, paddleboats, paddleboards, fishing, boat rentals, a 17,000 square foot fitness center, an indoor lap pool, hot tub, dry sauna, canoes, kayaks, beach volleyball, two playgrounds, bocce ball courts, picnic areas, the most beautiful rockslide and a restaurant all within the gates of this beautiful community. There are many options for daily adventures with fees paid directly to Big Canoe. These fees are not included in the rental of Laurel Woods. Guests should be aware that falsely claiming a pet as a service animal is a serious offense with steep consequences. As of late 2023, the fine for this violation has increased from $300 to $1,000. In addition to the financial penalty, offenders may also be required to complete 30 hours of community service. Importantly, this is not just a civil matter—impersonating a service animal is classified as a misdemeanor, meaning it carries a criminal charge. To avoid these penalties, please ensure that only properly trained and legally recognized service animals are represented as such.

Great getaway house

House is stocked full of fun and games for all ages! Beds were super comfy and linens soft. The space is cozy but worked very well for the 8 of us. The decor was absolutely amazing! Just to note if you plan to cook as much as I did, the kitchen counter space is tight. You have to use the kitchen table for prep. It’s a wonderful home though overall.

The house had helpful items for little kids that made our trip even easier. The community the house is located in was wonderful with nice amenities and activities. We had so much fun!

100% perfection from start to finish

Our stay arose from an emergency. We arrived at a friends cabin in Big Canoe only to find the pipes had burst and there was no water. It was getting close to dark and we were desperate for a place to stay. Not only was Jake and Leanne’s place perfect, Leanne immediately accepted our request to arrive immediately and worked out the logistics, it happens to be the most beautifully designed vacation home we’ve ever rented! One of my friends with me is a designer, so clearly she was in heaven in this gorgeous place full of vintage treasures and unique touches. Another friend is a birdwatcher, and she saw pileated woodpeckers, owls and tons of birds from the porches. Another friend is an avid hiker and she walked the trails in close proximity to the house. I’m the lazy one, and enjoyed sipping cocktails by the fire. We had plenty of room and the birdwatcher friend is also a chef…she whipped up a gorgeous meal in the well stocked kitchen that we ate on the screened porch. 100% satisfied!

Weekend escape

Spectacular getaway!! The pictures and descriptions are completely accurate for this amazing location. The whole place was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen was completely stocked with all kinds of cookware and the appliances seemed brand new, not to mention two grills right outside. The fireplace and Wi-Fi came in very handy on a cold and rainy weekend and allowed us to have a lazy and relaxing time, plus the washer and dryer came in handy. The surrounding views were beautiful and all the trees made you feel secluded even though you are in a neighborhood. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had prior to our booking and gave us a lot of great information about the area. We can’t wait to go back to this place again and explore more of the neighborhood and check out the lake and the golf course. Definitely recommend this location.
