Vrbo needs to get their stuff together!

My wife and I rented a 6th floor condo on Daytona beach for the 4th of July weekend. We’ve used Vrbo in the past and had great experiences until this time. Less then 24 hours I was contacted by a rental company saying can’t stay at that property because of ac issues but they have a similar property available which turned out to be NOTHING like the original property so I declined that property. They gave me an upgraded property which was cool but I get a call a couple hours later saying the same exact thing is wrong with that property ac issues. So that company refunded my money ALL but a 73 fee that they still want to question me about. Lost a customer! Keep the 73!

RENTERS BEWARE!

After check-in, when asked about the cleanliness (via text), I mentioned that the unit as a whole was in poor/fair condition...the curtains had stains and didn't hang well, bedspreads were in poor condition, the couch was filthy and unfit for use. The furniture is old and dated, dirty and should be replaced. The door to the balcony was very difficult to open, and glass could use additional cleaning. Overall our experience with Vacasa was not good and we will not be using your services in the future. I contacted Vacasa Guest Experience Department about items that needed attention or repair - knowing it was not going to be done while in the unit, I asked for some monetary compensation for the inconveniences and was told they "looked in the unit" and there is "nothing wrong with it" and there would be no resolution. Overall, the entire property is in rough, very dated condition. Do not rent this unit.

This was an interesting place. I dont have high expectations or requirements for a place to stay, but while this wasn't the worst it wont be a place I would stay again. To start with this is a just a room essentially in a hotel that has sold off rooms to stay open. Their parking is extremely limited and we had to park next door in the public parking lot. As far as the room itself it, whatever is used to clean the floors makes your shows stick to it. The curtains have rust stains, they have 2 pots one rusted no pans, so not really sure how you would cook much. Walls are really thin so you can listen to your neighbors yell and fight all night. And the thing that bother me the most was the extremely uncomfortable bed. The sofa couch was better than the queen bed but not by much. The positive was the view of the ocean with the sunrises.

Very disappointed

The unit was clean but overall we were very disappointed. Our customer service was horrible. We contacted Vacasa twice through vrbo messaging during our trip and never got a response. When we arrived, which we knew we were there a couple hours early, the resort had no record of us staying there. We were told by the front desk that if we could contact Vacasa and have our booking info sent over then they could give us keys and we could at least access the pool and beach. I called twice asking for this information and was told it would not be sent until 4PM. We were not asking to get into our room early, we just wanted to access the pool and beach to relax with our two small children that had been in the vehicle for several hours. We decided we wanted to add another night to our stay. I had been emailed earlier in the week with a deal to get an extra night for $100. When I called I was told this was no longer valid. So you all would rather leave the night open and make no money they to let us book an extra night? After we did get checked in, we found out the parking garage was closed. We had to park in an offsite parking lot. There was not any luggage carts during check in or check out, which resulted in having to make multiple trips to our vehicle (off-site) and carry all our belongings through the lobby and to the elevators. This was extremely inconvenient. The splash pad at the resort was the best amenity for our kids and they did enjoy it. As far as our room, it was clean but the beds are wore out. Especially the couch bed. If you got too close to the end you would start to roll off. There is only one air unit, which was in the living room. The bedroom and bathroom stayed hot, especially the bathroom since it was the furthest from the air. The door to the balcony was very difficult to open, my wife could not get open it without help. Overall our experience with Vacasa was not good and we will not be using your services in the future.

Loss of amenities

A/c broke the first morning we were there. Multiple communications with Vacasa reps. Local person never helped or offered any financial remuneration. We ended up needing to stay an extra day and we’re hoping they would offer it without charge to compensate. Local manager said he would only give us 20% off, which we had to do. Won’t work with that entity again. No customer service skills.

Clean room but those pillows….

King size bed with only two pillows that represent pancakes. Other than that the room was very clean and has beautiful view. Mattress wasn’t the best but decent. Bring your own pillows!!!!
