This three-level chalet was made for mountain getaways. Spend your mornings sipping coffee among the evergreens, your afternoons exploring trails, rivers, and scenic drives, and your evenings soaking in the private hot tub after a day of adventure.



Inside, The Shuksan blends warm mountain character with elevated custom details throughout. Reclaimed hardwood floors, wood-framed windows, hand-crafted lighting, custom railings, and a striking reclaimed wood kitchen island give the home a rich, one-of-a-kind feel. It is cozy, polished, and full of thoughtful touches that make the space feel special without ever feeling fussy.



The main living level is designed for gathering, with an open kitchen, generous dining area, and comfortable living room centered around a wood-burning fireplace. Cook dinner, play cards, curl up by the fire, or simply enjoy the quiet of the forest after a full day outside.



Downstairs, the game room gives everyone another place to spread out, with ping pong, foosball, comfortable seating, and a large-screen TV. It is perfect for kids, teens, and the adults who claim they are “just playing one quick game.”

The Shuksan is located in Glacier, Washington, about 25 minutes from the Mt. Baker Ski Area and Artist Point, about 40 minutes from Bellingham, and approximately two hours from Seattle. It is a wonderful home base for skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, river adventures, scenic drives, and quiet weekends tucked into the forest.

Welcome to Snowline Community Club, a peaceful gated mountain community nestled in the forest of Glacier, Washington. Sitting along the border of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Snowline is one of the area’s most loved basecamps for exploring Mt. Baker, the North Cascades, and the natural beauty of the Glacier area.



This private neighborhood offers a serene, nature-filled escape with quiet surroundings, towering evergreens, fresh alpine air, and beautiful park-like grounds. Guests love the balance of privacy, convenience, and year-round outdoor adventure.



Snowline Community Club amenities include a seasonal outdoor heated pool, typically open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, along with a playground, open field, private walking paths, nature trails, and scenic river access areas for peaceful moments, nature watching, and photos.



Adventure is just outside your door. Snowline is minutes from hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, fishing, snowshoeing, skiing, and scenic drives through the Mt. Baker area. Mt. Baker Ski Area is approximately 25 to 30 minutes away, with popular destinations like Artist Point, Heliotrope Ridge, and Skyline Divide nearby.



After a day of exploring, return to the calm of Snowline, breathe in the mountain air, and unwind under spectacular starlit skies. Snowline offers the perfect blend of privacy, natural beauty, family-friendly amenities, and mountain adventure.



Getting Around:

This property borders the Mt. Baker Snoqualmie National Forest and requires a vehicle to access. Please be prepared to arrive in a four wheel drive or All wheel drive during the snow season.



Other Things to Note:

This home is located in a mountain rainforest near the base of Mt. Baker, where nature is part of the experience. You may see wildlife or small critters in the area, including ants, bats, mice, raccoons, bears, and bobcats. We do everything we can to keep wildlife outside, and guests can help by keeping food and garbage securely stored and never leaving trash or food outdoors.



Mountain weather can change quickly. Please come prepared for a range of conditions, including rain, snow, ice, wind, and occasional power or internet interruptions. In winter, we strongly recommend an all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive vehicle. Power and internet outages are outside of our control and are not eligible for refunds.



For groceries, we recommend doing larger shopping trips in Bellingham before heading up the mountain. There are a few small local markets and restaurants along Mt. Baker Highway, but options can be limited and hours may vary by season.



The Shuksan is located in Snowline, a private gated community bordering the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Guests have seasonal access to community amenities, including the outdoor pool, playground, tennis/pickleball courts, and clubhouse, subject to HOA rules and availability. Pool access is typically available from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, weather permitting.



Per HOA rules, a maximum of six guests from the property may use the pool at one time. The HOA also requires gate cards for access and enforces quiet hours, leash laws, parking rules, and a no-campfire policy. Parking is limited to the vehicles that fit in the driveway, and street parking is not permitted. Luxury Getaways is required to register all vehicles that will be present during your stay.



Dogs are welcome with approval and a pet fee. Maximum one dog. No cats or other pets. Dogs must be over one year old, may not be left unattended, and are not allowed on furniture or beds.

As a guest of this chalet, you'll find a hot tub, barbecue grills, and an arcade/game room. The front desk is open around the clock.
