Bwthyn-Bwlch is a charming, detached rural farm stay cottage near Denbigh that offers a front-row seat to the beauty of the North Wales countryside. This isn't just a place to stay; it's a chance to swap the ringtone for the "cluck-cluck" of our resident hens who wander the grounds with an air of self-importance and a keen eye for any stray biscuit crumbs.
The heart of the cottage is an open-plan living area designed for slow mornings and hunker-down evenings. To one side, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything a self-catering chef needs, including a modern oven and a dishwasher - because life on the farm shouldn't mean scrubbing plates by hand. The lounge area is anchored by a magnificent wood burner set against a slate-grey tiled hearth. It's the perfect companion for a rainy Welsh afternoon; simply load up the logs, sink into the leather sofas, and watch the weather roll over the hills through the large patio doors.
Convenience is key at Bwthyn-Bwlch. On the ground floor, you'll find the master bedroom, home to a sturdy king-size bed that practically guarantees a peaceful night's sleep. Nestled right next door is the family bathroom, featuring both a separate deep-fill bath for a long soak and a modern glass shower enclosure for a quick refresh.
The cottage's most talked-about feature is the oak spiral staircase that winds its way up from the living room. It leads to a delightful twin bedroom tucked under the eaves. With its sloping ceilings and elevated views of the farm, it feels like a private loft hideaway - ideal for older children or friends who don't mind a bit of a climb for the best view in the house.
Outside, the farm experience truly comes to life. Your private patio comes complete with outdoor furniture and a BBQ area. We provide the utensils and the fuel, so all you need to do is pick up some local Welsh lamb from the nearby market. The sight of the chickens pecking at the lawn creates a wonderful, rustic atmosphere. Parking is easy too - just head through the wooden gate to the left of the cottage where there's plenty of space for two cars.
We’re happy to welcome 2 well-behaved dogs. Please keep them supervised at all times and don’t leave them unattended. To keep the space comfy for everyone, we kindly ask that they stay off the furniture and out of the bedrooms.
Feel free to bring their favourite bed, blanket, and anything else to make them feel at home! To keep your furry companions safe, we recommend not leaving them unattended outside and always keeping a watchful eye on them during their outdoor adventures. Please make sure to clean up after your dogs.
