More than Adequate

Very roomy, had all the basics, clearly an old house that has undergone renovation. Neighborhood was chill, 10min drive to downtown, enjoyed walking through the adjacent park in the mornings.

Awful Experience - Avoid This Listing

We booked this for our family to stay for a week. The owner did not disclose in the listing that he was in the middle of renovating the home. When we arrived, we found the interior finishes were a work in progress. The house reeked of fresh paint that gave two of my family members headaches. The kitchen finishes look terrible with exposed drywall and cheap counters. It looks nothing like the photos in the listing. The place was super dusty, especially when the HVAC system turned on. There were lots of little issues throughout the house, like missing doorknobs on a bedroom door, missing hardware in the kitchen, missing electrical outlet covers, front door missing bolt assembly, etc. We stayed for one night, but after that we had to leave due to the impact it had on our health. We contacted the host/owner, told him about our issues, and while he offered to send his cleaning crew back to address the cleaning issues, he simply ignored any concerns related to the impact to our health. We left after one night to stay somewhere else and requested a refund for the remaining nights of our stay, but he never replied and ghosted us the remainder of the time. We offered to pay for the night we stayed and cover any related fees, which seemed like a fair offer, but the scumbag owner wouldn't do the right thing and provide a fair settlement. He just took our money and hid behind VRBO's policy that we had to come to an agreement with the owner. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOUSE.
