Nestled in the heart of the historic flair of Five Points, this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is conveniently located near unique coffee shops, restaurants, and the River North (RiNo) Art District. The Stiles Historical Estate is a cultural haven in Denver's historic Five Points neighborhood. Named after Grace Stiles, a renowned teacher, historian, and philanthropist, this estate honors the community's rich African American heritage. As one of the few black-owned short-term rentals in the area, we proudly offer a unique historical experience.

Explore the Stiles African American Heritage Center, nestled beside the residence, and explore the neighborhood's fascinating past. This 1880s home seamlessly blends historic charm with modern comfort. Step through the ornate wrought iron gate and Venetian door to discover a tastefully renovated interior showcasing unique character and artwork by Thomas E. Lockhart, a multimedia artist.

Inside, you'll find three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a multifaceted kitchen with stainless steel appliances and wooden countertops, a washer and dryer, blackout curtains for restful sleep, and central heat and AC for year-round comfort.

All bedrooms are on the second floor:
Primary bedroom: California king with memory foam pillow-top mattress
2nd bedroom: Queen with memory foam pillow-top mattress
3rd bedroom: 2 twins
Living room: Queen sofa bed

We provide a range of amenities to make your stay comfortable, including a drip coffee maker, 1.5 towels per occupant, starter toiletries, and initial cleaning supplies.

Routine property maintenance may occur during your stay, such as trash collection, hot tub/pool cleaning, yard work, and plant care.

For extended stays, a mid-stay inspection is required every 30 days. This will be an additional guest expense of $25/inspection. Mid-stay cleans are available upon request at guest expense.

No pets, parties, candles, incense, or smoking on the property. The roof is also off-limits to guests as it is very dangerous. This is not a party spot! Quiet hours are from 10 PM - 8 AM. Any noise violations or complaints from neighbors will result in immediate eviction with no refund.

The kitchen is fully stocked, which is very nice. We were staying in the winter, so we did not make use of the outdoor area, but it does look nice. Neighborhood was quiet and felt safe with a nice coffee shop to walk to. The only thing to warn people about is the stairs to the bedrooms. All of the bedrooms are upstairs, and the stairs are a little bit, steep to maneuver for someone who is not fully mobile.

We loved the house and the area. Two great coffee shops and the delicatessen within walking distance made the mornings fun. Loved the art and history throughout the house. Kitchen had everything we needed. The aveda shampoo and body wash was a nice touch.

We overall like the stay in the house. There are a few things that can be improved. One of the beds upstairs slopes down, making sleeping on it uncomfortable. The tub upstairs could benefit with a soap holder or a shelf. A book with a guide of places to go and things to do especially in walking distance would be very helpful. Lastly, although the house is walkable to other districts I would advise others to avoid 22nd st and broadway. It is not a great place to be wondering . Overall we really enjoyed the stay.

The Stiles house was perfect for my family of 4 including parents and kids ages 10 & 13. We went hiking at Rocky Mountain National Park (about 2 hours driving), Red Rocks Ampitheater (about 45 minutes), and Garden of the Gods (a little over an hour). One day we walked 1.5 miles each way to the Denver zoo, and it was awesome leaving the car at home for a day! Traffic can be bad in Denver but we planned well and got everywhere in under 2 hours.The Stiles house is in Five Points district and this is sort of an "up and coming" area. There are some brand new apartment buildings, new restaurants, and some older buildings too. My kids are ages 10 & 13 and this was a wonderful area to walk around during the day. The area is a bit noisy as there is live music and bars in the area and this means foot traffic until midnight or later. We visited on a hot summer week and kept the house closed up and air conditioned and it was very quiet inside the house as the house seems to be old and very solid.The house itself is very old, so think of an old house except all fresh paint, newer though basic vinyl floors, and newer washer/dryer, dishwasher, & refrigerator.This is by no means the fanciest VRBO we've stayed at but it's 10-stars all the way for me! Parking is challenging in Denver, so having 2 large parking spots in a private driveway right in front of the house was perfect! We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood during the day, and we found the location a perfect homebase.

Nice, clean house with a convenient and quiet location near downtown. Transit is nearby as are several great restaurants and coffee shops. The hosts were very accommodating with great communication. It was nice to know that our stay helped the Stiles project in some small way.

Great spot in the historical Five Points District. The house itself has a lot of history. The bars and restaraunts wuthin walking distance are decent. Get the Heartattack at the bagel sandwich shop!!

We had a wonderful weekend trip to Denver. We enjoyed the comfort and location of the home. It’s within walking distance to restaurants and bars, and there’s a Safeway close by. The house has on-site parking, easy access to the train, the kitchen and bathroom offer great amenities and the house is spotless.
