All staff members were friendly and there was a friendly atmosphere when we arrived. Room was nice and clean with all essentials needed. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Nice small hotel (just 7 rooms) attached to a busy pub. We had room 7 (exec room) which was compact but comfortable. It was quiet and we slept well - although I was conscious that a function room was below us - but not in use that evening. The breakfast was second to none.

Lovely room, little on small side adequate for short stay. Nice location if visiting Ashbourne or Dovedale. Could of done with light outside entrance door, needed to use phone torch to see to unlock. Noisy plumbing in bathroom also could hear tv in next room very easily. Great food in pub next door where breakfast also served. Lacked the personal touch that most b&b's provide. Not suitable if anti children or dogs as both are welcome in the pub.

Visiting Family

Pros: Modern, High Standard rooms. Very clean and comfortable.
Cons: Not much can be improved except the TV bracket that has been put on a bit wonky in room No 4 :-)
Location: Lovely location set by a canal and adjoined to The Dragon pub which is a must to visit. The food is excellent!!
This is a really lovely place to stay in a lovely setting beside a canal. The rooms are of very high quality and will look to stay here again.
