The person checking us in was friendly, informative and friendly. The room was spacious. I do think that the shower curtain needs to be replaced and it was raining quite hard - it started dripping from the top of the window onto the inside of the windowsill, we had to use a cup and a towel to prevent the carpet from getting wet. We were told from the front desk that this is normal if it’s raining hard.

This hotel is very handy as a park and fly hotel for flights out of the Des Moines Airport. The $5 daily parking rate is very reasonable.

Convenient airport shuttle. Quick and efficient check-in / check-out. Quiet location despite proximity to airport. Our room was decent size. Convenient electrical outlets for charging laptop / phones. Working desk is small but adequate. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water. Nice variety for breakfast. (I miss the frozen cheese omelets, but the scrambled eggs were excellent.) Perkins Restaurant within easy walking distance. Hy-Vee grocery and deli in the shopping mall across the street for self-catering. Many other dining options available if you have your own transport. We use this place almost every time we fly into Des Moines. Still good value for money.

My room was hdcp accessible. The “chair” in the shower was missing the legs so it was only about 10” high and no rubber feet on the bottom. I did not report this. Rm 110. I inadvertently left a bottle of very strong pain pills (Norco) which could not be found!

Staff was friendly, room was nice, beds were comfortable. People were very noisey all hours of the night walking down the hall, slamming doors, the family above us kept jumping around and stomping, very loud. If it werent for the other guests, all would have been great.
