The swimming pool was nnot open until late Saturday due to mantience being done and was not posted on the webaite also requested a sjarp container on room amd there wasnt one. A friend came to visit amd they wouldnt let him come to my room without me going to the lobby Im elderly with breathing issues amd that hallway was a long walk

I called before booking to make sure pool was working. When I went to check in there was a sign stating pool was closed I told them to give me a minute to see if I could find another place to stay so I walked to my car and checked my bank account and they had already put a hold on my card for the 4 day stay so I went back in and told the guy.i was like um I never checked in and you already put a hold on my card now I can’t look for another place to stay cuz I can’t access that money I was told o sorry. So I’m pissed and said it looks like I have to stay now and was told don’t worry we will credit you back half your money,,well there were tons of other issues with bugs,ants, mold and the pot smoke that filled the whole hotel. Again when checking out I was told give them till Monday afternoon to refund me half my money back and to call if I didn’t see the refund,,,well guess what no refund made several call over the week and finally got word that the big boss said he would be nice and give me $50 back, which I still have not got and it’s been a month, I only book this hotel cuz of the pool and location cuz we’re celebrating my daughter birthday and attending the Iowa horse fair, so I had 3 very disappointed teenagers that couldn’t swim.. I could go on and on about this place I’ve stayed here for 3 years in a row but I guess it’s under new owners and I guess they don’t care, even served cold,rotten food at breakfast so sad

Television didn't work, called front desk and guy came to room and couldn't get it to work either said he'd send maintenance huy up, 2 hours later still no maintenance so called front desk again. Finally after almost 4 hours went to a different hotel, it'd be nicevto get a refund or a free night sometime but doubt that happens

There was mold in various places in our room. Our room smelled of feces when we walked in. The lock on our door was broken, the breakfast was limited options and what they did have, while it was supposed to be warm, was cold.

Didn’t have a great experience here. A lot of homeless people outside around the hotel in the parking lot. Hotel room walls were very thin and could hear conversations in the rooms next door and in the hallway. The rooms were very small and didn’t feel super clean. We experienced someone running in the halls back and forth yelling in the middle of the night.

The non smoking room smelled like smoke. I asked them to come smell upon check in. They said it was noted, and then was not refunded deposit due to them claiming the room was smoked in, even after I disputed it and reminded them of the note.

I found hidden Cameras in my room and bathroom i asked to them to give me i different room theybsaid no and wouldn’t even come see wat i found i left immediately there went $85 down the drain dead bugs in the vents i will never ever stay at econo lodge in my life time
