This property is beautiful. However, it was literally impossible to get my room cleaned. I arrived on 7/28 and checked out on 8/5. I asked through the front desk for my room to be serviced starting 7/31, after I realized it was not a normal thing for the room to be cleaned. When I returned it was not cleaned. Complained to the front desk. They apologized. Same thing happened on 8/1, 8/2 and 8/3. Actually, I talked to the maid in the hallway on the morning of 8/3. She assured it would be cleaned. It was not. It was not until 8/4 that my room was serviced, after me complaining so much. I checked out the next morning. For this reason, I will never stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel, breakfast service poor

Everything looked brand new at this hotel. I would have given it a better score had it not been for their poor breakfast service. We stayed there 4 nights, and all four breakfasts they had a difficult time keeping the breakfast food available. Pretty sure every morning the person working the front desk was also working the kitchen. Only one of the four nights was there any "main course" (biscuits and gravy or scrambled eggs and sausage) that was available for anyone. Nice hotel, nice area, but don't expect there to be any breakfast readily available.

I arrived late Sunday night. When I got around to turning the tv on it only gave me a screen with service options and a 1/5 screen of one channel. There were some cords laying there which I assume went to a box that was missing. It was late so just let it go until the next day. I went to the front desk to report it, nobody around but a housekeeper mopping. She was able to find someone which I assume was her supervisor. She knew the room and said she reported it a few days before. She had to leave a note for the front desk because again no one was there. Came back later that night, it was not fixed. It’s a newer nice place in a great area but the service was very poor. Also the breakfast was very lackluster. Not just me but other guests were very underwhelmed.

This motel is exceptionally clean and very quiet, offering a peaceful and comfortable stay. The parking is convenient and easy, with quick access to the freeway. Overall, it provides excellent quality at a reasonable price. The staff were generally helpful—an extra touch of friendliness or a smile would make the experience even better.

Hotel was great we were only there for the night so we didn’t check out the area or anything. My only issue was at check in we were charged more than we should have been but we questioned it in the morning at check out and the manager took care of it no problem, so I wouldn’t really ding them much on that.

Great place to stay

From check in to check out everything was great. Staff was friendly and helpful! Room was clean, loved the laminated floor so much better than carpet! Bed was comfy, sheets smelled like bleach (which i love), bathroom was spacious and updated and clean! TV was modern and you could log into your own streaming services and watch which is great when you have a little. Pool is open until midnight. And breakfast is served at 6am which is a perk since we are early risers that like to get back on the road! Over all we will be back when we are traveling through since it's our half way point to visit family!

We LOVED our stay! We came for a staycation and were very impressed. I’d never heard of this hotel until searching for one for this weekend and noticed it had great reviews and was one of the cheapest options in the metro at almost half of what we were seeing elsewhere for rates. This hotel is in a growing area, near entertainment and several restaurants within a few blocks. Everyone was so incredibly friendly and helpful, any time we needed assistance it was a great interaction. We all agreed that the pool was phenomenal, we loved the softer floors and that the bottom of the pool was smooth. Usually I hate walking in pool areas but this didn’t hurt my bare feet! The pool temp was just a little cool but I thought it was ideal for me. The bed was great, my back didn’t agree with it, but I thought it was comfortable. My only critique was that the breakfast was fairly limited with just biscuits and gravy which was running low but was restocked while we were there, cereal and some breads. Overall I’ll be recommending this to all of our family members when they come visit! We had a great time!

We stayed on the top floor, it was quiet and we had a nice view of the splash area near the hotel. Our room was clean, as was every other area we went to which included the pool and breakfast area.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!

We stayed at the Grand Stay Hotel in Johnston, Iowa, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected ~ especially for a brand-new property. While the hotel itself was clean, the service and management were severely lacking. There was no flat sheet on our bed, and we had to request it the next day when asking for our room to be made up. Towels were missing our first night, and despite asking again on the second and third nights to have our room cleaned, nothing was done. My husband had emailed the manager about these issues, and by chance, we bumped into him at the elevator. We explained everything again in person, and he admitted he hadn't even checked his emails yet. He assured us he would have someone clean the room ~ but once again, we returned to find it exactly as we'd left it. Brand new or not, this level of service is unacceptable. I will never stay here again.
