Enjoy this charming ancestral cottage conveniently located on Point Deschaillons offering you a breathtaking panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River. This large house with its 9-foot ceilings is the ideal place to relax with family or friends. Take advantage of the hot tub to relax and then admire the postcard sunsets around a fire while admiring the passage of ships right before your eyes. This wonderful residence overlooks the superb swimmable beach of Deschaillons at walking distance.
This house built in 1895 has been the home of several families of sailors over time. It is one of the most elegant in the village! It is very well equipped and does not look its age. There is a fast internet connection at 120 Mbps available onan excellent WiFi mesh network with excellent coverage throughout the property.

The fully equipped kitchen has beautiful marble countertops. he living room features a large 55” Roku smart TV (no traditional cable service). You can watch your favorite shows and movies through the installed applications (ICI Tou.tv, TVA+, Noovo, etc.) or by logging into your own subscriptions such as Netflix, Prime, or Disney. A retro Nintendo console with 600 games, a Blu-Ray player, and a collection of movies are also available. The bathroom is equipped with a bath-shower and a washer, dryer. A game room is equipped with table football and air hockey tables. The Proue bedroom on the ground floor has a large bed. Upstairs, the Starboard bedroom has a second queen bed, the Accalmie bedroom a double bed and the Portside bedroom two single beds. A panoramic living room with a large window offers you an exceptional view of the river all year round. An office space is installed there for remote work with a monitor for your laptop. A small half bath is available upstairs and an 18,000 BTU air conditioning unit efficiently cools the upper bedrooms in the summer.

Outside, a large patio with a six-seater dining set and a gas barbecue are at your disposal. A rustic-looking garage has been fitted out to accommodate the 5-seater spa, sheltered from the weather. Several outdoor games available for your children are stored there.

The long 24,000 square foot lot is landscaped with a pirate ship play module with a water cannon to entertain your children. A hammock is placed in the shade under the large apple tree. A fire pit is set up at the end of the yard with Adirondack chairs to admire the sunsets, the many water birds and the passage of ships on the river.

You have access to the entire property except for the basement, the attic, the maintenance closet, the shed and the cliff which descends steeply to the river.
From the top of its cliffs, Deschaillons-sur-Saint-Laurent enjoys an exceptional geographical position with a breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River. A unique vacation spot, tourists and yachtsmen can benefit from magnificent sites such as the marina and the beach. Many leisure facilities such as hiking and cycling trails, tennis, pétanque, skating rink, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling trails are available to outdoor and nature lovers. A heritage circuit pays tribute to the rich history of the municipality. The visitor discovers there, in addition to the local history, the importance of the brick industry and the special relationship of its inhabitants with navigation.
You will be in the heart of the village of Deschaillons and it is easy to walk to the beach/marina and the grocery store.Route 132 is also popular with cyclists and it would also be a good idea to bring your bikes with you. Despite everything, it is a rural sector, so the car will be necessary to move you beyond Deschaillons.

This house is located in a residential area with immediate neighbors. It is a peaceful and welcoming neighborhood that is ideal for families with children. However, the place will not be suitable for groups of friends looking for an isolated place to party and liven up all night long.

Early check-in or late check-out is available when possible. A surcharge of $50 CDN will be payable for one or the other for a maximum of 2 hours.
Not suitable for babies (under 2 years old) as there are stairs and we do not offer child safety gates. Also, we do not have a crib for sleeping.

The backyard overlooks a very steep slope down to the river bank. We prohibit access to the descent to the river due to the risk of injury in the event of a fall for our guests.

4 exterior surveillance cameras record activity on the parking driveway, on the back door, in front of the door on the side gallery, in front of the front door and on the back lot (river view). There is an interior noise meter.

The accommodation includes steps or stairs. There are several bedrooms upstairs. However, there is one bedroom on the ground floor.
The television does not include cable or continuous over-the-air channels. It only works through the available Roku applications (ICI Tou.tv, TVA+, Noovo, Netflix, Prime, Disney, etc.) using the provided Internet connection.
