- Max Occupancy: 16 guests
- Mail & Package Delivery: Mail forwarding is in place. Do not ship packages to the home. We cannot guarantee delivery.
- Starter Pack: Includes soaps, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, etc intended to get you through the first night or two. Guests are responsible for purchasing extra supplies.
- Kitchen: Equipped with standard appliances, Keurig + traditional drip coffee maker

We loved the house and the pool was great for the kids. The living room comfortably fit our group and each bedroom was spacious. We had plenty of room in the kitchen to cook and serve meals without feeling crowded. The house sits just across the street from the beach access and it was a very easy walk. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, and floats available to use, which was also convenient. Parking was tricky as you are not allowed to use the whole driveway to park. With a large group in different vehicles, we struggled to shuffle cars and make them all fit in the confined area. Overall, we had a great trip and enjoyed our stay in the Crystal Beach area.

Great house for a large family.

The house was beautiful. The pool was small but a perfect size for small children with limited swimming abilities. Joey was quick to respond to us when we had issues with the poor working condition of the gas grill. Although it appears you can get quickly to beach from the Crystal Beach access across the street, that beach is private and you must walk past approximately 12 houses to get to the public beach. The public beach is about the size of 3 house lots and very crowded. The easiest access is to turn right out of house and walk along sidewalk to the intersection and entrance to public beach. It’s not a bad walk if you have a beach cart. You need to bring all beach items for this house. Beach towels are the only thing provided.

This house is beautiful and very clean. Pool is small. Very close to beach, across the street, but there is no private access you have to go down the street to public beach access and it is very crowded daily. If you try to go to the closest access directly across the street from the house you are told it is private and you can not enter there or set up any beach equipment there. I found this disappointing. With it being a 6 bedroom you expect a large number of people to be staying and my only suggestion would be it defiantly needs a bigger washer and dryer. It is a very small apartment size washer and dryer and had to dry clothes two to three times to get them dry. Being at the beach I wash clothes daily and this took up so much of my time because units were so small. Over all lovely home and quite neighborhood.

Perfect for our group of 6 adults and 5 children. Plenty of space. Close to beach.

We had a great stay. Large rooms and plenty of space for our group. Pool was small but nice. Kitchen was well equipped. A few minor maintenance problems but overall in great shape. Upon arrival the door code didn’t work. We were on the phone with property management agent for 40 min with no luck on getting in. The physical keys didn’t unlock doors either, just the utility closets. Once we were finally able to talk to the right tech person, he was able to get the code reset in 2 minutes. Also, the nearby community steps to get to the street level and beach access had washed away. So we had to climb up a steep bank or walk around the block to get to the beach. Hopefully the steps will be fixed soon. We would certainly stay at this property again!

We loved our stay at Grateful by the Sea! We had three families, so three master suites was a must. This was perfect for us. Plenty of rooms and beds for all the kids as well. Easy beach access. Having our own pool was perfect for the kids. We had a fabulous time and would stay again in a heartbeat. Great communication with the owner too!

Wonderful find in prime location!

This may have been our favorite house we have stayed at! Plenty of room for our group, perfect location across from Crystal Beach, and very responsive management company. The house is beautifully decorated and has all the needed amenities! We appreciated the towels for the beach and responsiveness of the management company when we had a couple needs arise. We will be back again!

Lovely home and great location! Enjoyed the open concept of kitchen, eating and living area. Would suggest to maybe have some light throw blankets in the living area. Also, first place we have stayed that didn’t have any spices in the kitchen, but not a h the house and had a wonderful week!

Stay was perfect for a bachelorette group! Perfect location, so close to the beach. Private pool was very convenient as well. The house did seem a bit unclean when we arrived, dust on mirrors and light fixtures, mold in upstairs shower, and we were not provided enough toiletries for the weekend. However, overall a great house and we really enjoyed our stay!

This house was absolutely great for our family trip! The location was steps from the access to the beautiful beach. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked to prepare meals. We really enjoyed the pool and the extra refrigerator in the garage came in handy.

Family Time

Our first time to Destin and the location was fantastic!! The home was beautiful and the rooms so spacious. We had all needs addressed promptly by the property manager. I do understand how challenging it is to "stock" a rental home reasonably, but the one thing I would suggest is enough kitchen towels, paper towels and toilet paper. Had a broom but no dust pan. These were small things and we would 100% stay again. Highly recommend.

Week in July

House was over all nice. It was wonderful to be 100 foot from the beach, and have our own private pool. Having 6 bedrooms was also a plus! However I was disappointed in not being able to check in even 30 minutes early after an 11 hour drive, also saddened by the 3rd floor shower in comparison to all the others of the house. The bikes required maintence prior to riding. Trash cans smelled so bad and were filled with maggots and over filling with trash upon check in. (What made it worse was the fact that we had to wait until exactly 5:30pm to check in do to "cleaning and inspection." Then we weren't even able to put our trash in the cans for our first 4 days...even after the property was "cleaned" before we got there. There was trash under all furniture. Dirty toenail clippings on the floor in the kitchen floor upon arrival. the house was left in better condition and cleaner than when we got there. Air conditioning on 2nd and 3rd floors were unable to keep those floors cool. Last night the 3rd floor bedroom was 80. 2nd story bathroom toilet flushes but needs extra attention and effort.

Could not have asked for anything better!

We recently stayed a week at this beautiful rental and absolutely loved it. Communication was quick and easy with the hosts. The home was gorgeous with a great location. We were so close to the beautiful beach. The entire group loved getting to go to the ocean at night and watching the little crabs run around. There were beach towels, beach chairs, sand toys ect. One of our favorite vacations yet!

Amazing home - great location

We had seven adults, a child, a toddler and two babies with us. This house was perfect! It was a super short walk to the beach - perfect for kiddos and older adults. The private pool was also perfect for the kids! The house is set up with large families in mind - and the sitting area is so great for comfortable conversations with plenty of room for cooking, eating and kids playing. Very luxurious and comfortable. The king beds are amazing! We also loved how big the showers and bathrooms were! I’d absolutely stay at this location again. It was perfect for us. If you’re on the fence about booking this house, take this as your sign to book it now!!!

Nice home, great location!

Positives: spacious home, great location close to beach access, private pool was a winner with our kids, great collection of beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc; 6 very nice bicycles, ample kitchen pots and pans, bed in 3rd floor bdrm was very comfortable and Joey at SoWal property was generally helpful . Negatives: lack of info on tv service and instructions, garage crowded with furniture (I had to rearrange furniture and park bikes on front and side), fire alarm went off one night at 1 am and again at 2 am (there was no fire or smoke so unsure what set off the alarm; spoke to Joey at Sowal property and he said the humidity level can set the alarm off ???), electrical sockets in 3rd floor bathroom were loose, batteries in the tv remote in family room were weak, and some minor maintenance items - no latch on front picket fence gate and the latch on the gate to the trash can area needs some attention. Overall, we would seriously consider staying at Grateful again.
