“Lakeside Beach House” is a beautifully renovated, airy 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath townhome in Destin, thoughtfully updated to keep the space fresh and comfortable. With hardwood flooring (no carpet), coastal furnishings, and a light, open feel, it’s designed for an easy and relaxing stay.

The living area offers comfortable seating and lake views, with access to a sunny deck perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach. A dedicated workspace is also available for those who may need to check in while away.

The primary bedroom features a king bed, private full bathroom, and sliding glass doors leading to a shaded deck overlooking the lake and smart TV. The guest room includes a twin-over-queen bunk bed, a smart TV, and a full bathroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped with the essentials, including a combo coffee maker for both full pot and single-serve options. A full-size washer and dryer are also available for your convenience.

Located within the Southbay community, guests enjoy access to tennis and pickleball courts, two pools (one seasonally heated), a kiddie pool, and a private catch-and-release lake.

The beach is a short walk away, just over the community footbridge and close enough for easy access, while still offering a quieter, more relaxed setting away from the crowds. The beach entrance is gated for added privacy.

Destin’s HarborWalk Village with restaurants, activities, and boating excursions, is just a short drive away.

Fantastic family vacay

We had a wonderful family vacation! Owner was very helpful and responsive to questions. The house was perfect… Short walk to the beach, access to 2 pools, walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We loved feeding the turtles from the balcony! The washer and dryer were a very nice perk. We hope to visit again!

All the convenience for families with kids! It was our first time to Destin as a family...we never left Lakeside during our long weekend stay over the 4th of July (except for 1 date night while our boys, ages 3 and 5 stayed with friends in Perdido Key). We flew in from Pensacola airport and the arrival and entire stay was all easy process! The entry level has the 2 bedrooms and kitchen was upstairs. No carrying luggage up and down the stairs. We enjoyed the deck for EVERY meal (except 1). Lakeside was a cozy retreat for us all and only a 7 minute walk to the beach with a 3 and 5 year old! The wagon and beach cart, toys made our trips to/from the beach easier. Having access to the beach service chairs and umbrella was key...it lessened the load. This was the first time our boys had a beach vacation where we spent the entire day (EVERY day) at the beach (except during nap time). They enjoyed the boardwalk, watching the turtles and the views from the deck and even the telescope to see the moon! We don't sit still very well and very adventurous, so this vacation was quite a treat to stay put and enjoy all the amenties. And the fireworks...you don't even have to leave to watch them elsewhere! Miles of fireworks and the best show was right over our heads (literally!). After doing a little beach strip cruising, we all agreed that we landed the BEST spot for our first trip to Destin...all the amenities and convenience without getting into your car!

Great Townhouse

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The townhouse was very clean and in a beautiful location overlooking the lake. Beds comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Lakeside Beach House

We stayed for five nights at the Lakeside Beach House. We have two boys, ages 11 and 14, and the house was perfect! Our whole family enjoyed our stay very much. Donna checked in with us frequently. As soon as the house was ready, we received a text that we could check in a few hours earlier than expected. On our first day, we went to the beach in the late afternoon. We quickly found two men who helped us get chairs and an umbrella. We were placed in the second row, but when we arrived the next day at 9:00, one of the men told us we were already set up in the first row because he sensed I was a little disappointed being in the second row. The chairs and umbrella were set up before we even got to the beach for the rest of our stay. When we arrived, the house was clean. We all enjoyed feeding the turtles with the turtle food provided, which lasted us all week. The house was stocked with everything we needed. I brought additional toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap, but I never needed them. I did one to two loads of laundry daily, so I brought and used my detergent and dryer sheets, but two pods were provided for free. The house was around a five-minute walk to the beach. The king bed was one of the comfiest beds I have ever slept on. Donna provided links to the bed and bedding, which was so kind. The beach house is in a great location near shops and dining. We had a great time and have no complaints at all!

Great Stay

Our family stayed at Lakeside for a week. We had a great time! The beach and water are beautiful and the beach service for chairs and umbrella was great! The owner provided more than expected as far as beach items; a beach wagon and cart, coolers, boogie boards, 2 chairs, sand toys (we only brought half of what they had to the beach). The owner was fantastic at responding when we had a question about where to view fireworks. So glad we didn't book a fireworks cruise since we got an amazing first row 10 minute fireworks display on the beach for free! We only ate out once at Fudpuckers. It was good food, but be aware they spice it pretty well, even the fries. The turtles were a huge hit with the kids and adults alike. Pots and pans were fantastic. We cooked pretty much every breakfast and dinner, usually sandwiches for lunch. Also, the soaps were all very high quality! And we appreciated having the 4 beach towels in addition to the ones we brought. Having a full size washer and dryer was great too, since it was running almost everyday. The Destin Boardwalk Harbor is close by and we took a Dolphin cruise with Olin Marler and had a great time, the boat had A/C! Highway 98 traffic is terrible, but it is a popular area. All in all a wonderful trip! If only it wasnt such a long drive from upstate SC.

Perfect location 👌

We enjoyed our stay and the beautiful lake view. We ate on the deck everyday overlooking the lake (both morning & night). The beach was a few steps away from the house, umbrella service made it super easy to enjoy without schlepping tons of stuff with us. The townhome is centrally located with stores and restaurants all within walking distance.

Great vacay at Lakeside Beach House!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Donna's unit! It was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. A few bonus' were the provided beach buggy, beach chairs and towels plus the nice bath products! Also, free Netflix too. We'll be back soon. Cheers!!

We enjoyed the quiet location, the short walk to the beach (not crossing busy streets but a beautiful lake instead) and the super well stocked home. We did not enjoy the smelly master bathroom which I think varied based on how much marijuana the next unit was smoking, so that was out of our control. We also did not think the chair/umbrella system was ideal (based off arrival at Southbay; not first come first served but the worst was the attendants abrasive demeanor) also not in our control. Would likely stay again.

Great beach

Quiet and relaxed

This was a great condo with very nice interior finishes and amenities. It’s location on the lagoon was peaceful and beautiful with wonderful decks to enjoy the view. The beach was pristine and to have chairs and an umbrella provided made the experience so easy. The tennis courts were in excellent condition and we enjoyed playing as well as using the pools. The location was great – we were within a mile and a half of most places we went to eat, entertain, and a Target and a grocery store were just across the road. It was just the vacation we needed.

The perfect home away from home!

This place had everything we look for when traveling! The location was fantastic as it's a short walk to the beautiful sand and water, it had a fully stocked kitchen for anything that we needed, and such an amazing host/manager. I can not say enough about the manager and the host of this property, any issue that came up, they were right there to answer any questions and help. My family felt very comfortable here and we are already looking forward to coming back.

The condo was just as it appeared in the photos online, the inside was very nicely renovated and had everything we needed. The beds were all comfortable, with nice linens. Donna was very available as was her property manager, if we needed anything. Other than not having the best weather, we had a great stay and would come back again!
