Conveniently located in middle of Destin, nearby to lots of entertainment and food venues. They have their own private beach section right across the street. Prompt and friendly staff.

Lacking standard hospitality items

My husband and I have been coming to Sand Piper Cove for the past several years, love the location, the par three golf course, the proximity to the beach, canal, and pools, as well as the restaurant. This trip was fairly disappointing to find what we’ve become accustomed to as standard hospitality with rental sites, including VRBO or even a hotel with a kitchen, was not provided. We were greeted with a stale mothball smell, and an ice machine that had not been turned on. The kitchen did not have salt/pepper, cooking oil, any replacement garbage bags, or enough paper towels to last our stay. This location did not have washer detergent or drier sheets. Lastly the poor AC had a terrible time keeping the unit cool, with what seemed like the original windows. The AC unit blows directly over top of the thermometer, giving false indicators that the condo is at the desired temperature. The bed in the bedroom squeaks with any little movement, ultimately ended up sleeping on the pullout coach to be cool.

Our stay

The only complaint we have is that the we never had WiFi. I put in a work order and they informed me that it was a bit touchy but that they would have it fixed. However, it wasn’t working the entire duration of our stay. Aside from that everything was as advertised.
