Housekeeping was very disappointing during our stay. The room was barely cleaned. Aside from changing the towels and making the bed, no real cleaning was done. I was especially surprised that during all three nights, the bedsheets remained extremely wrinkled. This was my first time staying at a Westin, and unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. The front desk staff wasn't particularly friendly either. They mistakenly checked us out after our second night, which locked us out of our room. It took 40 minutes to resolve the issue and regain access. To make matters worse, I later noticed a credit card charge for an early departure which we never made. We stayed for our full reservation. Trying to get a refund has been very frustrating and time consuming, with long hold times on the phone. Overall, the experience was quite inconvenient and left a lot to be desired.

The building was beautiful. Our room wasn’t vacuumed, there were tags and food on the rug under the desk. They did move us to another room and said they “upgraded” us but that wasn’t the case, if anything the room was much smaller. The rooms were decorated beautifully and the food options were great.

The Westin.

The Westin is amazing for sure! We had some hang ups that seemed to be easy fixes but it just kept getting passed to the next person and every time I would bring the issues to someone they would say “oh that’s unacceptable, go speak to *someone else*”. My biggest complaint is feeling gaslit over getting the wrong room. I paid for a delux room and was given a premium, or maybe the other way around. I wanted a bathtub and the luxury of that room, which is why I chose it. I was told this room was the same but when I first called to question my fridge and a lamp not working, I was told then that I was in a less than room and we should go to the front desk. Problem is, it was 11:00pm. We were so tired and beat up from the day. It was a bad travel day. Over all, I expected so much more from Marriott and the Westin. I want to stay again but I’m not sure I will put the money into a room again and not get what I paid for. I was told they won’t guarantee rooms booked through third parties. I wish everyone would work together and put together a rule book so guests who work hard for their money know what they’re up against. If I knew that, maybe I would do things differently. Also the room we were in was the loudest room I have ever been in and the temp of the water out of the faucet is only hot and enough to burn skin.
