About this property

Mockelsnas Manor Lakeview Queen Room and Lounge

Mockelsnas Manor is for guests who want atmosphere, calm and a stronger sense of place. The manor combines the charm of a traditional Swedish countryside property with the practical comfort expected by modern travellers. Your queenroom with lakeviews is in a historic manor hotel set in the beautiful Smaland countryside with gardens, a private beach area and peaceful outdoor spaces. You will have a relaxing hotel stay with everything you need and breakfast included.

Guests can enjoy comfortable rooms, free WiFi, access to a fitness centre, sauna, terrace, gardens, and scenic surroundings ideal for walking, hiking and cycling. Several rooms offer views towards the lake, adding to the calm and character of the manor experience. Rooms at Möckelsnäs Herrgård are individually decorated, giving each stay a personal and characterful feel. Every hotel room has its own bathroom, and the manor combines traditional Swedish charm with practical modern comfort.

Mockelsnäs Manor offers a peaceful countryside stay in one of Sweden’s most distinctive regions. Set close to forest, water and open landscapes, the manor is ideal for guests looking for something more personal than a standard hotel.

The main manor building is symmetrically designed, with a grand entrance, stone staircase and striking black granite pillars sourced from a nearby local quarry. Inside, guests are welcomed into an elegant reception hall, with lounges, dining rooms and inviting shared spaces that reflect the history and atmosphere of the property.

The large dining room stretches across the rear of the manor and offers beautiful views over the lake through classic barred windows. Outside, a spacious terrace mirrors the scale of the dining room and provides another impressive place to take in the surrounding landscape.

We have a floating sauna that you can use for 200 SEK. It is wonderful. We also have paddle boards you can use free of charge.

On the entrance level, the manor includes a lounge with a remarkable fireplace framed by the same black granite used at the main entrance. There is also a smaller dining room, access to the hotel room corridor above, and stairs leading down to a wine cellar with beautiful stone vaults.

The second floor of the main building includes seven individually styled hotel rooms, with two additional rooms on the attic level. Each room has its own bathroom and a distinct design, with colours, materials and details chosen to give every room its own personality.

The basement includes six conference rooms in different sizes, designed in a style that complements the rest of the manor. These spaces are suitable for meetings, workshops, retreats and business gatherings. Guests can access the garden directly from several rooms, creating a natural connection between indoor meeting spaces and the surrounding landscape.

The manor estate also includes four independent wings built symmetrically around the main building. Two of the older wings have been renovated and include three rooms each. Two newer wings, built in 2003, offer 16 hotel rooms each. As in the main building, the rooms are individually designed with their own colours, materials and atmosphere.

The area around Möckelsnäs Herrgård is popular for hiking, cycling and relaxing in nature. Guests can enjoy the gardens, the private beach area, lake views and peaceful surroundings. Activities such as darts are also available at the property.
