An average stay.
I recently stayed at this rental with my father, and overall, our experience was quite average.
Good Points:
- Communication with the host was smooth and efficient.
Bad Points:
- There was no toilet roll provided, which I believe should be a standard amenity in any rental.
- The address plaque was missing a number making finding the property very troublesome.
- The listing mentioned that no bed linen was provided, so we were aware of this beforehand. However, it was still quite odd and inconvenient to have to bring our own or pay extra for bed linen. The price for hiring the bed linen was extortionate, especially considering the overall cost of the rental.
- There were several food items, including coffee and tea, left in the cupboards, but many were well out of date. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing and made us question the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the place.
- Finding the car parking space was a real challenge. A map or clearer instructions would be very useful for future guests. We ended up using a space outside the complex, which was not ideal.
- The lamp in the room with the bunk beds had a faulty cable, causing it to flicker on and off unless positioned just right. This was quite annoying and could potentially be a safety hazard.
While there were some positives, the numerous small issues added up, making the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. Improvements in these areas could really make a difference for future guests.
