At the entrance to a peaceful hamlet in Doizieux, in the Loire region, L'Atelier is a 50 m² self-contained cottage housed in a fully renovated old stone building. Designed to accommodate up to four people, it combines the charm of the original structure with contemporary materials such as polished concrete, aluminum window and door frames, and wood, creating a warm and bright atmosphere.

The living area is arranged around a pleasant open-plan living space that opens onto the outside through large bay windows leading directly to the private terrace. A ground-floor bedroom features a king-size bed (200 x 200 cm) and also has direct access to the terrace. The bathroom, located on the ground floor, includes a walk-in shower, a bathtub, and a toilet. Upstairs, a mezzanine offers two single beds (90 cm), ideal for children or guests.

Comfort is guaranteed year-round thanks to underfloor heating, Wi-Fi, a television, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and all the necessary amenities. Beds are made up before your arrival, and towels are provided for a hassle-free stay. Outside, you'll enjoy a private garden, a furnished terrace, and a reserved parking space. Nestled at the gateway to the Pilat Regional Natural Park, this holiday home offers an exceptional setting for a truly relaxing getaway. From the moment you arrive, the rolling landscapes, forests, and panoramic mountain views invite you to slow down and unwind.

Hiking enthusiasts will find numerous trails accessible just steps from the cottage, while nature lovers can try geocaching, rock climbing, or cycling through the Pilat's hills. Families will also appreciate the lakes, recreational areas, and many other outdoor activities available nearby.

Just a few kilometers away, the Maison des Tresses et Lacets (House of Braids and Laces) reveals the region's industrial and textile history, while the Turbine Créative (Creative Turbine) showcases local craftsmanship. Food lovers can extend their exploration by visiting the vineyards of the Pilat Rhodanien or sampling local specialties. Between its proximity to Saint-Étienne, its easy access to Lyon, and the unspoiled authenticity of the mountains, this location is an ideal starting point for discovering the treasures of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in complete tranquility.

There are a few animals on the property, but the main part of the farm is located 3 km from the gîte.

Your host:
Over 20 years ago, we decided to change our lives and join the family farm. We were driven by the desire to be part of sustainable agriculture, respectful of the environment and close to the consumer.

Today, our farm, which focuses heavily on direct sales, supplies five farmers' markets with poultry and poultry-based prepared products, as well as dairy products. We also cook our own products for the menu at our farm-inn. Our business provides employment for 10 people, all thanks to small, human-scale operations. We can say we've achieved our goal!

But we don't stop there: a few years ago, we partnered with neighboring farmers to create a methanization unit to transform our animal manure into natural gas. Less greenhouse gas, renewable energy for the stove, less odor—it's a win-win!

Our gîtes also reflect this commitment to sustainability and community: they have given a second life to former farm buildings and allow us to welcome many visitors with whom we enjoy building relationships. We love hosting our guests and sharing good food with them (we have a real sweet tooth!).
Finally, we are both deeply involved in representing our profession, advocating for our ideas and those of our colleagues, and working, in our own small way, towards a sustainable and equitable future.

This cottage offers its guests a terrace, barbecue grills, and laundry facilities. WiFi is free in public spaces.
