In the heart of the historic center of Domaso , a few steps from the lake, is this large family home rich in history, perfect for large groups and families of up to 10 people who want to live together the experience of an authentic, welcoming and charming home. It is the ideal solution for those looking for large spaces, a family atmosphere and a central location in one of the most fascinating villages in the northern part of Lake Como.
The house is spread over several floors . The entrance is on the ground floor, where there is a convenient cellar useful for leaving bicycles, strollers or sports equipment. Going up the internal stairs you reach the first floor , dedicated to the living area. Here you enter a spacious room with dining area and decorative fireplace , ideal for gathering all together. Continuing on, there is access to a second room with sofas and TV , from which you can enjoy a pleasant view of the lake , perfect for relaxing in the evening. From this room you exit to the lake view terrace , furnished for outdoor dining.
Also on the first floor is the equipped kitchen , also suitable for cooking for large groups, a bathroom with shower, small bathtub, toilet, bidet and sink, as well as the washing machine . From the kitchen there is access to a very special covered outdoor area , surrounded by stone walls: a quiet and cool corner, ideal on summer days. From here, very narrow and typical stairs start, which lead to a higher level and represent an authentic and characteristic architectural detail of the area.
Upstairs are the five bedrooms and a second bathroom with bath, toilet, bidet and sink. The house has three double bedrooms, a bedroom with two single beds and a bedroom with a single bed and an additional pull-out bed. It is important to note that one of the rooms is a passageway to access one of the double bedrooms, a typical aspect of historic houses and to be taken into account when distributing guests.
The house is not equipped with air conditioning , but thanks to the very thick stone walls it naturally maintains a cool and pleasant temperature even during the hottest days, making for a comfortable stay in any season.
The location is one of its strengths: the house is located a short distance from the lake and the historic center , with bars, restaurants, shops and services within easy walking distance. The boat station is nearby , allowing you to easily move around Lake Como and discover villages, villas and unique landscapes, as well as the surrounding mountains , perfect for excursions and walks in nature.
The house is located in a typical narrow and uphill historic street. It is possible to get to the entrance by car, but the road is rather narrow, so we recommend that you check the access before entering, especially with large vehicles. In front of the entrance there is a private fenced space , suitable for parking a small car. For those who are not familiar with driving in historic centers, it is advisable to use the nearby public parking lots , for which we will provide precise instructions.
Domaso is an authentic and lively town, located in the northern part of Lake Como, appreciated for its relaxed atmosphere, contact with nature and the possibility of alternating lake and mountain.
