The Neighborhood:

Domburg is a charming seaside town on Walcheren with a wide beach, terraces and nice shops. From the apartment you can walk to the beach and town centre in minutes. Domburg's woodland offers lovely walking and cycling routes. From Domburg, Westkapelle, Oostkapelle and Middelburg are all easily accessible.



Getting Around:

Domburgseweg 11-2 offers free parking in the garage for one car, with a height clearance of 1.95 metres. You open the garage with your key. Use the space marked 'B'. For larger vehicles or vans, there's an outdoor parking spot, second on the right. The gate can be opened and closed with the key. It's easy to arrange during your stay.



Other Things to Note:

The Marie Tak van Poortvliet Museum in Domburg is a must for art lovers. Beach pavilion Het Badpaviljoen is a great spot for a bite by the sea. The Manteling woods towards Oostkapelle offer beautiful nature for a walk or bike ride.

Unterkunft mit Vor- und Nachteilen

Die Wohnung ist großzügig geschnitten und es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Tiefgarage ist extrem eng. Bei geöffnetem Fenster ist es sehr laut, da die Ferienwohnung an der Hauptstraße des Ortes liegt. Die kleine Terrasse liegt ebenfalls zur Hauptstraße hin.

Sehr schöne gepflegte Wohnung

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt in der Ferienwohnung. Alles tip top. Einzig der Stellplatz in der Tiefgarage ist viel zu eng. Dieser lässt sich mit den heutigen Autos nicht befahren.

Urlaub auf der Baustelle

Während unseres Aufenthalts (Montag, Dienstag, Mittwoch) wurden Arbeiten am Dach ausgeführt, unter Einsatz eines Mobilkrans, der mit ständig laufendem Motor entweder direkt vor dem Schlafzimmer (dadurch wurden wir morgens um 7 Uhr geweckt !) oder dem Wohnzimmer stand. Am Morgen unserer Abreise wurde der Kran wieder entfernt. Der Aufenthalt im Appartment war tagsüber sehr ungemütlich durch das ständige Motorengeräusch des Mobilkrans vor dem Fenster. Der Vermieter war sicherlich über die Arbeiten informiert und hätte die Lärmbelästigung erwähnen müssen. Die Ausstattung mit Küchenutensilien, Geschirr und Besteck ist sehr rudimentär.

Geräumig und laut

Die Lage ist sehr zentral, allerdings direkt an der Hauptdurchgangstrasse und daher sehr laut. Die Fenster isolieren schlecht im Hinblick auf den Lärm. Es gibt insgesamt wenig Geschirr.

Große Wohnung mit klaren Linien

Die Wohnung macht einen modernen Eindruck und war grundsätzlich sauber (außer die Bodenreinigung). Vor allem wenn schlecht Wetter wäre, würde einem nicht so schnell die Decke auf den Kopf fallen. Ansonsten lebte auch diese Wohnung von Domburg als ganzem: da es schönes Wetter war, tat die Wohnung, was sie sollte: Aufenthalt am Strand etc. ermöglichen. Auch die Situation mit Tiefgarage (sehr eng) und Kellerraum war sehr hilfreich. Im Abstellraum gibt es viele hilfreiche Utensilien wie Staubsauger, Besen und Müllbeutel, aber auch Beachball-Schläger. Kinderbett und Hochstuhl gab es gegen Aufpreis. Alles in allem ganz fein.
