Stable Cottage at Poxwell Manor
Stable Cottage at Poxwell Manor is a charming, historic property located within the grounds of the larger Poxwell Manor estate, which dates back to the 17th century. As the name suggests, Stable Cottage was once used to house the horses and carriages for the manor, but it has since been converted into a cozy and comfortable residence.
On arrival, you are greeted by the charming cottage exterior, with stone walls and wooden framed windows. Patio doors open in to the cottage style kitchen, complete with rangemaster cooker, dishwasher, Belfast sink with hot tap and freestanding fridge / freezer. The kitchen is open plan with the dining area, with large farmhouse style dining table and seating for eight. The living room is light and airy, with a wood burner and stairs that lead to a mezzanine floor above. The mezzanine has a sofa bed, which can be made up to accommodate 2 guests on request (please request at the time of booking). Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom, with freestanding bath and chequerboard floor. There is also a useful utility and boot room which houses the washing machine. Up to the first floor are three beautifully decorated bedrooms and two more bathrooms; The master king en-suite, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom which share the family shower room across the hallway.
Outside there is private parking for three cars, along with a private enclosed garden which is secure for dogs and children. The property is family and pet friendly. Please note that Stable Cottage is situated within the private grounds of Poxwell Manor House. The grounds are not accessible to guests, and there are large ponds which guests are to be mindful of.
Details; Bedding and towels are provided, please bring your own beach towels. Travel cot and high chair are available on request. Please note that there are steps up to the property and within the property - from the kitchen down to the family bathroom and steps up to the living area also.
