No wi-fi and no cell coverage, that's a big no no these days. Dirty crockery, mould on bathroom skylite, jug was so filthy we couldn't make tea/coffee. Broken insect screen on door. Shower-head clogged with calcium, liquid soap was empty, coffe "pod" machine was fill with other peoples old pods, dirty chairs in reception from school kids dropping food. Property generally in poor state of repair. Restaurant has nice atmosphere but food quality was below average. Grounds/gardens need more work.

The rooms are sufficiently clean. The restaurant on site is only open on Fridays and Saturdays. There is no cafe at the property. The closest shops are at Dorrigo town centre about a 7 min drive from the property with a number of good options, a pie shop, deli/ cafes and the local pub has a diverse menu using fresh produce. Location is convenient to waterfalls, walking trails and picturesque lookouts.

Loved the staff as they were polite kinda and informative. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The recliner chairs made for an homely comfort. and the stars of the show.. deer…. Only downside is it’s tank water or slightly tinged colour so wanting to use the water for the kettle made us second guess and we brought some water bottles for the kettle and when you shower when another unit occupant is showering at the same time there is no water pressure. We didn’t get to mention to the owners as the office was closed when we checked out. But still amazing and would book over and over again! I recommend to my friends and family.

I definitely wouldn’t be staying here again. No information provided for late checkin which is very standard everywhere I’ve stayed. Zero shower pressure, felt like a tap. Received some random text to charge me a pet fee when I don’t have a pet. I enquired twice about this with no response. Also limited dining in the area and onsite restaurant is only open on certain days.

Lovely motel in country setting

Last-minute booking for an overnight stay. The accommodation offers a motel-style layout with some recent renovations. While the setting is picturesque and tranquil, the soundproofing between rooms is inadequate, allowing conversations from adjacent rooms to be easily heard.

Work in Progress at a Great Location

Great location and staff however it's an older property and has a few issues ie the hot water system needs upgrading. Rooms are being progressively updated to a higher standard.

Excellent place for a quiet and peaceful retreat at Dorrigo. Excellent view. Short distance to town and to scenic sites including waterfalls. Griffith lookout is only a few minutes' drive away and a fabulous view of the Great Dividing Range - during sunrise or sunset.

I did like the recliners - though a bit hard to get out of. The fan on the AC was weak. Would not have needed AC if there was a ceiling fan.
