The place was under renovations and Expedia, as usual, did not disclose this anywhere on the listing. The place smelt of construction dust and noise started around 8am. The room was also not cleaned properly as there were used teabags in the main room table in plain sight. The address is also not listed correctly as “hotel unique majestic” doesn’t actually exist and is just a strange extension wing of “hotel unique.”

Es scheint üblich zu sein, Kunden des Unique Majestic dann im Partnerhotel Unique Pearl unterzubringen, was weiter weg und schlechter ist. Zwar wird die Taxifahrt gezahlt und ggf. auch noch Frühstück, aber es ist unnötiger Aufwand und führt zu Zeitverlust. Laut den Taxifahrern geht das schon seit Jahren so. Es ist aber nicht schlimm, dort mal eine Nacht zu verbringen, empfehlen möchte ich es nicht. Alles eher so mittel!

Dieses Hotel ist im Hotel Unique untergebracht. Es wird gerade umgebaut. Das Zimmer war schön, der Duschkopf defekt. Der Preis wurde über Expedia bezahlt und bei Hinterlegung der Karte für den Check in vom Hotel nochmal belastet, Klärung über Rezeption war nicht möglich, Mitarbeiterin hatte kein Interesse, Klärung über Email war freundlich aber nicht zielführend. Frühstück war OK, Lage zum Bahnhof ist von Vorteil.

Der Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war eine absolute Katastrophe. Die über Expedia gebuchte Reservierung für ein Vierbettzimmer wurde zunächst nicht anerkannt, das Zimmer war angeblich nicht mehr verfügbar. Stattdessen bot man erst zwei Doppelzimmer für einen vergleichbaren Preis an, später wollte man plötzlich mehr als das doppelte pro Zimmer und Nacht verlangen – mit der Begründung, dass die Preise nach 18 Uhr variabel seien und wegen eines BVB-Heimspiels hohe Nachfrage herrsche. Das Hotel verweigerte die Verantwortung und verwies auf Expedia. Nach lautstarker Diskussion wurde schließlich ein Dreibettzimmer für vier Personen angeboten. Kein zusätzliches Kissen oder Decke, der Zimmerservice kam am zweiten Tag nicht. Beim Check-out war man dann der Meinung, dass ich bereits gezahlt über Expedia hätte - immerhin hat es dann geklappt, dass wir nur den über Expedia vereinbarten Preis gezahlt haben. Auch andere Familien der Reisegruppe hatten massive Probleme: dreckige Zimmer, unfreundliches Personal und wenig Entgegenkommen bei Beschwerden. Eine Familie wurde bei einer Beschwerde über mangelnde Sauberkeit einfach darauf hingewiesen, dass sie ja stornieren könne. Insgesamt vermittelt das Hotel den Eindruck, dass es sich aufgrund hoher Nachfrage alles erlauben kann. Absolute Nicht-Empfehlung!
