Property doesn’t exist
It is with disappointment and dissatisfaction of the standards of service as to how you handled my trip and stay in Dubai. My holiday with my family that was supposed to be a happy enjoyable time in Dubai quickly turned bitter and it became a moment of survival. We took turns with the taxi driver trying to reach out to this individual at this point we were still thinking we were in safe hands of VRBO until we got turned around by security saying the place we were looking for was still under construction and that on human beings were staying there. And it hit me that we have been scummed. Taxi driver continued calling the host and then a guy in Egypt answered the call and didn’t have an idea what we were talking about. A 35 minutes drive from the airport quickly turned into a 3 hours plus of trying to survive a night in Dubai, driving from hotel to hotel looking for availability. As we were doing all this we were in talk with the VRBO customer service who also tried several times to contact the host but to no avail. He then told us to look for a hotel as there was nothing he could do to fix the situation and that he was going to send us an email authorizing a reimbursable hotel stay which at the end was $573 CAD. The taxi driver cost was $235.40 that night. The search for hotel accommodation did not end there we needed accommodation for 6 more days. We managed to get three nights stay in Abu Dhabi for $2200.00CAD followed by last three nights in Dubai for $2400.00CAD.
