Basic and sufficient. I had a private room with twin beds and my own bathroom and shower. Everything was small and efficient. The biggest disadvantage was that laundry requires an app which intern requires access to text messages. I left with dirty laundry.
Twin bed. Closet with shelves. Desk area with stool.
Private small bathroom with shower. Two towels included. Mirror and dressing table too.

Conveniently located, clean, and secure. The only reasons I didn't put it at 5 stars is because: 1. When I asked for a lower bunk (older folk tend to not do as well with upper bunks), they tried to charge me extra for it, even though there was an open lower bunk in the room. 2. The lockers provided didn't have self-locks. Do they really expect people to bring their own? Those were my only nits, everything else was fine.

The hostel itself was nice. Nice lobby, bathroom, and rooms. Staff were friendly. Walking distance to a lot of places. The sheets for the bed were rough and stained some. The biggest downside was the area. Didn't seem like a great area, safety wise.

Everything you need in a hostel!..

Grabbed two nights here and stayed in a room of four. Room contained one room with sink and toilet. Another room with shower and toilet. Towels and padlocks for lockers are charged seperately. Great staff. Temple Bar is a five minute walk away. Tram-line right outside the front door. Hop-on buses one street over. Great location. Hostel contained all walks of live, old and young, even families, as it was a very busy weekend in Dublin. Would definitely stay here again.

The location itself was good. Right in the middle of everything. It was a roughly 15mins walk to the main airport bus station and 20mins walk to Trinity college. I have booked a 6 people room which our room has an accessible ensuite. It was massive but could do with a few shelves fitted in the toilet for storage. You need your room card to enter to the building after certain time which is good for security. You will need the card to access the basement which is where the storage room and more toilets are. It was a slight inconvenience when you have checked out and get your stuff although the staff will give you a visitor card to get around.

Overall the property was fine. Just fine. The area is kinda sketchy to be honest. The pricing for things like locker space and towels I felt was too high. I appreciated that they had an elevator, and getting to my room was very straight forward. The privacy curtains on the bunks were a strong plus. The mattress is stiff as a board. The staff was chill and answered my questions well so I can’t complain there. There really didn’t seem like any kind of community or night life there, or at least nobody was really interacting while I was there. I don’t know, I’d probably try a different brand next time just to see if this was a one off.

I enjoyed the stay as we were central in Dublin and could easily walk to attractions and public transit (the red line is just in front). They seemed clean enough of a hostel, the housekeeping staff were alright. We had an issue where housekeeping staff entered our room and did not close the door properly. This happened 2 days in a row and the staff at Clink I Lar offered to move us to another room. That was nice and helped give us some peace of mind. Moving forward, if they updated their doors so that the deadbolts worked, and there was no need to pull the doors as forcefully then this could have mitigated the possibility of this issue. Thankfully the workers were quite responsive and kind about the issue.

Great place very convenient and centrally located. If you are looking for a friendly staff, and value style stay this is a good fit. The private rooms do offer privacy but cleaning is only every 3 days unlike standard hotels. We are low maintenance so this didn’t really bother us. We had a wonderful stay.
