Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, listing accuracy
I hate to leave negative reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I feel obligated to warn other travelers.
The biggest issue started before we even arrived. It was never disclosed that the apartment requires climbing 3 flights of stairs with no elevator. We were also required to pick up the keys at a separate office before checking in. I had informed the property in advance that our group had several heavy suitcases and was concerned about access, but this information was completely ignored.
The two women at the office were unwelcoming and unfriendly from the moment we arrived. They escorted us to the apartment without saying much and made no effort to help us with our luggage despite knowing we had multiple heavy bags. After climbing 3 flights of stairs, I expressed my frustration about the lack of disclosure regarding the stairs, and one of them sarcastically replied, "Welcome to Dubrovnik." That response set the tone for the rest of our stay.
Things quickly became much worse. While we were temporarily organizing our luggage near the building entrance, an elderly resident became extremely aggressive toward my sister because she wanted to enter the building with her dog. Although my sister calmly explained that we were guests, the woman continued threatening her and became increasingly confrontational.
