Very nice property. We could tell a few parts were dated, but they've kept it very clean and nice. Loved the common area with the pool. Very clean, smelled nice. Breakfast was excellent!! Front desk gentleman was great-he remembered our names at checkout and gave us a wonderful history of Dubuque. Old Chicago is attached and open late!! Very nice, we would stay again.

If you stay there in the month of July, I would check to see if the youth baseball tournament kids are staying there. If they are, go somewhere else. Those kids run, wild and parents clearly don’t watch them and unfortunately, there isn’t enough staff to have people try to keep these kids in line and honestly it’s not the staffs responsibility. Next year if we stay here, we’re doing it during the week not on the weekend.

I would stay again

Location great. Breakfast great. The staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean. I was unhappy with front desk service upon arrival as things like Wi-Fi password and time and location of breakfast was not given to us. Also, our room was never cleaned during our three day stay. It didn’t really need to be Except we needed refills on things like toilet paper and coffee and we had to get those items ourselves. They do offer a discount on the future stays if you refuse cleaning service, but we never did and were never asked if we wanted to. That said, if I were to go to Dubuque again, I would go and stay at the same hotel.

This hotel was perfect. Our room was poolside as requested for the grand kids and the room was very comfortable. There is also an Old Chicago Pizza restaurant on location that we all really enjoyed!

The hotel had a large, clean room and other pluses, like a good, hot, fresh breakfast every morning and a weekend security guard. The elevator needs a lot of attention though. It took a very long time to arrive on the floors and didn't work one night during our stay. As a person suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, climbing stairs to the 3rd floor was awful. Also, loved that the hotel was pet-friendly. However, my husband and I were both locked out on separate nights when our key cards did not scan for entry to door 6 when we let our dog out for the night. We had to rely on other guests to let us in. All in all, we would stay again.

The staff were all friendly and di a great job consodering how busy they were. The manager was also helping but was not as personable (acknowledge your guests instead of talking about them) Breakfast was very good and the pool area was hreat. The rooms were nice, cold a/c, and comfortable beds. Plenty nearby and a 5 minute drive to downtown Dubuque

We had a jacuzzi room. It was clean, a comfortable bed, jacuzzi was huge and worked well. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Staff very accommodating. Only complaint is our room was pool side and not well insulated. You could hear kids playing in pool until after 11pm.

The hotel was in a great location. It was about a 5 minute drive to downtown Dubuque. The breakfast was very good. The pancakes were amazing (not your typical continental breakfast pancakes). The hotel itself was a bit outdated, which is why I gave it 4 stars.
